Run far away. Instructors here do no help. Financial aid DOES NOT REPLY. If you have a personal or medical situation, you are not allowed to make up work, complete zero/F or you should withdraw (which you still end up paying for). It takes over more than the regular 4 years to finish your degree. This school is all about teach yourself. Some teachers here are very encouraging and nice. Hence some, but most, nope, they are the opposite. If you graduate you are a small percentage. Most people who attend... Read More

I feel like I was mislead again. I did everything that I was told to do by you and your staff at Ashford University only to be failed by your school just to increase my balance and get money. I was trying to make you aware that I did not want to start any courses until the balance of $6829 was cleared with my financial aid and loans. I was awarded over $9000 in grants, loans and fininacial aid which would have covered the balance due. No one went over the courses selected for me. I called financial... Read More

The staff are not helpful and generally rude. I was asked to submit some paperwork and did a couple dozen times in three different formats. Over a span of several months I was repeatedly told they did not have the paperwork and did not know why I needed to submit it. When I was threatened with not being able to complete school I was finally told they had a dozen copies but it was not completed correctly. I fixed it and submitted but was so close to quitting. I did quit when a professor refused to... Read More

Don't waste your money. The school is misleading, the classes are a joke, and you're worse off than when you started. The classes are extremely overpriced and the online courses make you pay for books and materials you don't even use. I have been trying to work with the financial aid office for months to resolve a dispute over a balance on my account and have heard everything from "don't worry about it," to "well if you can't afford it, then you can drop out." The advisors also lie flat out when... Read More

My company is paying for the entire process, and I'm not sure if I would have chosen Ashford if that weren't the case. However, I'm not sure if I would have ever perused my degree if they hadn't offered to pay for it. Staff is professional and tentative, courses are easy to understand, and I enjoy the flexibility. I am on my 6th course and have yet to feel challenged. With that being said, I would say I'm not a moron but I wouldn't classify myself as very bright person, yet somehow I have received... There are many mixed reviews about this college. I have been attending this college for a couple of years. I will graduate in one month with a bachelors in organizational management, and will continue my education at Ashford University. In my opinion this college is for professionals and people who get things done on their own. If you are not one of those people, and you constantly need support this college is probably not for you. Financial aid and advise for career questions is something you may... Read More

I've attended traditional brick and mortar schools. One of them being a state university. However, being a full-time employee and a full-time student is nearly impossible to make happen these days. At least if you value your health, time and money. So, I did a lot of research prior to enrolling in an online university and decided to go with Ashford. Like in most colleges, you will experience both good and bad instructors. Some were very helpful and some were anything but. Ashford has taken measures... Read More

I have been attending Ashford University for a year now and it has been a pleasure working from my academic advisor, financial aid department, all my instructors, and classmates. If you communicate to them early enough, they will be flexible with your assignments or any other needs. They have a mentorship program that is awesome. My mentor reaches out to me once a week which shows the effort they put into their students. No complaints here. Thank you for everything Ashford.

Ashford is a good school, period. They are not a diploma mill. They have standards. Their admission policy is liberal, which means that many people who enroll will not complete their degree program. However, the expectations are the same as at "regular" colleges - read the assigned material, follow the instructions, demonstrate understanding of the material.

I do not understand why there are so many negative reviews. You most definitely have to work hard and believe me when I say the course "crunch" is grueling but at the end it is very worth it to pursue a degree with this school. I did have a couple instructors that were subpar but for the most part they were outstanding. As for the cost, my youngest daughter is considering a school that charges almost $1200 per credit so at $450 a credit it's a bargain... I graduated with a 3.74 overall GPA; 3.54... Read More

Ashford is a great school. My advisors were always available to answer any questions I had. I love the format and I felt challenged with the assignments. If you want to go back and further your education, you should check out Ashford. I'm a busy Mom of two young boys and I work full time. If I can do it, then anyone can.

I am currently a senior at Ashford and graduating this year. So far I love this school because t has allowed me to work while finishing up with my degree. The classes aren't hard if you are willing to put in the work. Since this is an accelerated program you have more work than usual that is due every week and if you fall behind you will lose your participation points. Your grade is really up to you. Only cons I have we're the initial process of transferring credits and selecting the appropriate... Read More

My time with Ashford University has been exceptionally beneficial and educational. With the timeframe for each class being shorter than most other schools, and the quality instruction from my class instructors, I have been able to learn a considerable amount of knowledge that will be a vital asset once I retire from the military in a few years. I have already recommended this school to my peers, and will continue to do so for those that are seeking a great school with quality education.

I truly have nothing bad to say about Ashford University. It is a little more expensive for the convenience of online capability so it takes a lot of work. It is silly to me that all these poor reviews are put there. Now in MBA program and looking forward to graduating in 2016. If you are looking for a school with a great support system attend Ashford ... don't take all these naysayers advice it is a great school.

Let me tell you something about Ashford University. First of all the student advisors do not care about you and nor will they ever. Mine straight told me his only job is to schedule my classes other then that he will not help me with anything else. The education you will get from this school is sub-par and I can promise you if you try to go to another school you will have to retake classes because it does not meet the standard. First of all, I am baffled at all the negativity regard Ashford. I have been at this school for a year and a half, and the experience has been just great. people with all there negative comments must have not done anything right, didn't work hard, didn't follow through with their programs, ect. This school is accredited and businesses WILL hire you if you meet the requirements. Has anyone ever heard of networking? I have had a wonderful experience at Ashford University. The professors are extremely qualified. Education has always been about the effort a person is willing to exert. In today's world, brick and mortar school are no longer necessary to receive a credible education. The university is well organized, supportive and convenient.

I enjoyed my studies overall. As with any school some instructors are better than others. However for 95% of my classes they were nothing but helpful and encouraging. I had a great experience however you are left to your own as far as absorbing and understanding the material. For math related classes this gets difficult. I finished (just this week) with a 3.62 GPA

Ashford online is a wonderful school to attend! I am a sophomore nearing my junior year, and have had some wonderful experiences with the staff, counselors and professors! Of course, every now and then, you are going to run into those that are not so attentive; however, the good overcomes the bad.
