University of North Carolina at Greensboro

Not academically rigorous or intellectually stimulating in the slightest. The professors are nice, but the information is a joke. Everything is shallow. I suppose some 7th graders might struggle with the material and some of the project assignments, but by 9th grade, most would be capable of getting a B. The monetary value is really good compared to other schools. But what you get out of it is significantly lower value. I completed a majority of my degree online at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I felt that the coursework was challenging and the professors had very high expectations of students. I thought that the online classes were set up very well and easy to follow. I would recommend their online program to anyone. However, when it comes to dealing with any office on campus, good luck! I know that it has been a couple of years since I had to deal with any of with their on-campus staff, but they... Read More all seemed to be very disorganized and unkind. It was difficult to get responses to emails and professors were not understanding of the difficult circumstances I was going through outside of school. One example I can provide dates back to when I initially transferred from ASU to UNCG. I had questions about the credits for the Spanish classes I had taken at ASU because I wanted to minor in Spanish at UNCG. I felt as if I was pushed around from person to person trying to get the right answer, and when I was finally put in contact with the head of the Spanish department, she had hardly any information to give me. I was so fed up with the whole ordeal that I chose to not pursue a minor in Spanish just so I would not have to deal with the headache. I attended Appalachian State University my freshman year of undergraduate school and would recommend ASU before I would recommend UNCG

I could not say enough good about this school. The advisers, instructors, financial aid counselors and students were great to work with. The course content was exceptional. The instructors were involved and always available to help with questions or concerns.

I found the flexibility of the classes to be quite convenient. The advisers were always very helpful and helped steer me on the right path with each semester to ensure I was taking the appropriate courses for the career path I wanted to be on.... Read More
