UHV offers many online bachelor’s and master’s degrees in various disciplines. The online school UHV has four colleges offering online degree programs, including business, education and health professions, liberal arts & social sciences, and natural & applied science. UHV’s online bachelor’s degrees include communication, finance, and political science. In addition, UHV’s College of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, making the college part of only 5% of schools receiving this accreditation. 

At UHV, five bachelor’s programs provide the highest median earnings for graduates, according to federal data from College Scorecard. These undergraduate programs include the following: (1) Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing - Bachelor’s  Degree at $74,200, (2)  Business Administration, Management and Operations - Bachelor’s Degree at $52,000, (3) Finance and Financial Management Services - Bachelor’s Degree at $51,400, (4) Accounting and Related Services - Bachelor’s Degree at $42,700, and (5) Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies, Other - Bachelor’s Degree at $42,300. 

Within these fields of study, UHV offers several online undergraduate degrees prospective students can pursue. Examples include a (1) Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, (2) RN to BSN, and (3) a Bachelor of Arts in University Studies. UHV’s salary scores are 46 for bachelor’s and 57 for master's degrees.

UHV is not affiliated with the University of Houston, as UHV is a separate degree-granting school. Both Texas institutions are accredited and part of the University of Houston System. UHV also has an additional on-site campus, UHV Katy, located in Katy, Texas. 

To receive admission into one of UHV’s online degree programs, prospective applicants must complete the school’s online admission process:

• Submit an online application.
• Submit official transcripts directly from the applicant’s high school.
• Fill out an immunization waiver for distance learners.  

Additionally, first-year applicants must meet one these admission criteria:

• Automatic Acceptance: Top 10% class ranking
• Formal Admissions: Top 50%, 2.0/4.0 GPA, 940 SAT or 18 ACT Composite Scores
• Rank Omit Admissions: 3.0/4.0 GPA and letters of recommendation
• Test-Optional Admissions: Top 60% and 2.5/4.0 GP

UHV’s Acceptance Rate 

The acceptance rate at UHV is 67%, according to College Scorecard. This acceptance rate suggests that UHV isn’t a super competitive school, as its rate is typical of most U.S. college institutions. College entrance exam scores, like the ACT and SAT, are considered for admission but not required by UHV.
