Degree: Healthcare Administration

I completed my education completely online, with no requirements to participate in on-site lectures or activities. The instructors uploaded lesson plans and video lectures, and students are responsible for completing the work by the deadline, simple. My only issue was the program being fully online but Profressors offer extra credit for on-campus activities. I stayed over 4 hours from campus, which seemed so unfair.

Degree: Military Science

At the University of Central Florida, I obtained my Bachelors Degree of Science in Interdisciplinary, August 2016. My focus was on humanities, public administration and mathematics. Within the Interdisciplinary program, there was an exposure to not just one subject but multiple. Unlike the traditional degree program, a student can focus on different subjects that may enable to gather skills necessary for a variety of jobs. Within the humanities, there was a focus of study that included art, music,... Read More

My whole experience felt like I was on a conveyor belt being shuffled along. I at no point felt like I was being cared for by the faculty or staff. However, Orlando was an awesome city to live in and the people of UCF are amazing. I just struggled with the structure of the communications department.

I did Direct Connect, a program where if you are accepted to UCF from the local Junior College, you enter in as a junior. Classes were offered at the same junior college for UCF as there are UCF campuses sharing the junior college campus. Some of the students are very involved. I was not able to be as involved because I worked daytime hours and could only attend evening courses. Most instructors were able to communicate with on a regular basis and even when I was having trouble, the professors worked... Read More

UCF is a great school if you are the majority and not the minority. While this school offer great academic programs, the lack of support for its minority students almost supersedes its academics abilities. I was a straight A student for most of my UCF career, but did not receive any financial support from the college. Instead, funds are used towards the athletic programs. Minorities are left out of mainstream events and occurrences. My advice, select a school that has a good sense of community, diverse,... Read More
