I'm not sure why people are complaining that tests are not proctored or that you don't learn anything. If you're an honest person it wont matter if tests are not proctored. You are paying for an education, why would you cheat? If you're not learning anything... Read More then you are skimming the pages and just looking for what you need to get a right answer. I have had a great experience with SNHU. I have been able to contact the professors of many of my classes late at night or on the weekends and I get replies usually within a few hours. Just like a brick and mortar school you will get a great education if you put in the effort. The material they use is current and has plenty of information. I feel like the people saying they didn't learn anything are the ones that skim through the book then complain that they didn't retain any info. That's not an SNHU problem, that's an end user problem.

I just graduated from this school with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I had an awesome experience with this school and considering returning for my Masters. Every employer I applied to accepts my degree, which SNHU is a non profit that has been around... Read More for years. I had three advisors during my time with the school and they really went to the bat for me. My career advisor gave me a lot of awesome tips and tricks for applying for jobs and fixing up my resume and Linked profile. I enjoyed my courses. I learned a lot about my field. A lot of the projects I did for my Psychology courses was very much similar to the work that Psychologists do when working in research. Since I was doing the general track in my program, I was allowed to pick some of my courses. I had some good instructors, there were a couple of them that were tough, but you find that at any school. The instructors were very educated and had a lot of experience in the psychology field. I have seen some negative reviews on SNHU on this website and when reading these reviews, I noticed that a lot of complaints are made by students who are not willing to be accountable for what they signed up for, are not willing to put forth effort towards their degree, and expect the easy route. College is a lot of hard work and commitment. Even if you have circumstances that happen in your life, you have to be able to deal with them and still balance school if you are a student. If you are an online student at any school, you have to be self motivated and good at prioritizing. You also have to be willing to put in the hard work if you want to do well. If you sign up and expect to just slid by, that will not only show in your school work, but employers will also notice that and you won't be able to succeed in anything in life, much less a college online program. If you sign up for college, online or campus, you need to be committed to seeing it through. If you are not willing to put in a lot of effort in coursework, are not committed and motivated, and are not willing to prioritize being a student with anything going on in life, then it may not be a good idea to sign up for college whether online or campus. Remember if you drop a course or fail, you face penalties with financial aid and will be required to pay that money back. Also if you drop out and took out loans, you have to pay that money back too. Welcome to adulthood. You have to take responsibility for everything you sign up for.

This review is based on my online schooling experience with SNHU. This school is a wonderful option for people who want to earn a degree on their own time and need to be cost effective. If you think you can attend this school and just skim by, that might... Read More work for you for the intro level classes but when you are closer to your degree completion you MUST put in detailed effort and a lot of time. Anyone who discredits an online learning experience after 2020 does not have a progressive mind set. I have interviewed for corporate marketing positions and every manager interviewing me was impressed with how I continue my education online while working full time. I had an instructors who are tough with the work load, and if you miss out on evidential information needed they have given me failing grades because of it. This school requires work and dedication. Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking this is an easy option, especially if you are in the workforce as well.
