Saint Leo University Online

I like the flexibility of the program and the fact that I get a US degree which does not mention it is online is really good. Credit transfer option is also available so that is an added advantage - if I wish to go to the US for further studies I have that option. The curriculum is up to date, which is especially important considering I am pursuing Digital Marketing. The fee is on the higher side when compared with Indian Universities but the value of the degree and the curriculum itself is worth the extra amount.

Their online MBA is a scam. I've had so far only 2 teachers who were SOMEWHAT knowledgeable about the topic they were teaching. The rest of "professors" are fake - you can't find them anywhere on Linkedin, and if you do, their profiles have nothing in the "education" field in LinkedIn, or,at best, their "PhDs" are from an online university with a 100% acceptance rate. More often than not you get "professors" who have no idea about the topics they are teaching. In addition, if you are lucky enough... Read More to find a few of these "professors" on LinkedIn, the only experience they have is at Saint Leo University or at their "company" which does not exist when you look it up. When you ask a logical question - they get thrown off, as, again, they HAVE NO IDEA about the topic they are teaching. Anyone who finished a 4-year degree at a legitimate university with at least B+rating, please do not go to Saint Leo for their online MBA. They provide no education and have no real professors. They should be reported to the State Education Board.

First, let me say, the faculty on staff for the online MSW program are excellent. They are responsive and will offer help, if needed. The adjunct faculty are hit or miss. Some are horrible and some are good. The biggest problem with this program is their internships. They don't have the relationships they promised to have. I think if you are near Tampa, maybe, but outside of Tampa, it was horrible. I have spoken with others in the program and they agree with this. Honestly, I cannot recommend this... There are so many other online programs that offer a MSW that have better relationships in the community to obtain internships. If you do decide to enroll, just understand that aspect. The teaching was good, but you are basically on your own.

READ BEFORE YOU DECIDE. I received my bachelor's degree from St Leo on line in 2005. It was paid in full. I received my very impressive degree in the mail. Two years later I decided to go back for my masters. I reapply and of course get in (3.9 GPA for my bach). I started getting charged for fees that I had no idea what they were for. The state I work for was paying the bill for my masters. When I could not figure out why I was getting charged extra fees the state thought this school was a scam and... Read More stopped paying for it. Now I never completed my Masters and have a balance on this account and have no idea why. It has gone to collections and has effected my credit very negatively. 2019.... I have moved from my state to a new one and am needing a copy of my transcripts for my new job. After three days of being put on hold and sent to to many different departments to count, I found out that they had but a hold on my Bach degree due to the fees from my masters program. I explained that they taught me to well. They could not hold my Bach degree for a separate contract that occurred two years later. The orginal contract has been completed. The assistant director, Eusevio Montavo agreed and sent the transcripts. The three day delay almost cost me the job!!!!!!! They apologized and said there would be a note in my account so this would not happen again. 1 1/2 years later... 2020.... I am getting a promotion in my new state, but due to the offices now being closed due to the covid-19 issue, I must reapply for the promotion. Yes this means getting more transcripts. I am now on day two of going through the same thing again. I have missed 1/2 day of work, which looks great when you are trying to get a promotion. I have been on hold a total of 10 hours and transfered to four different departments. Eusevio Monatave never put in any notes into the computer like he said he would. My receipt for the transcripts had to be in by 9:00 AM today which is why I started calling yesterday. I did not need the actual transcipts, just that they were ordered and on the way. It is now 9:30AM and the post has been closed. I have now lost the promotion and and still on hold as I am typing this. Please keep in mind when choosing a university. It is not just how they treat you while you are attending. It is how they treat you after they have your money. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL.

I cannot begin to express how much I enjoyed the MSW program, how much I learned, and how prepared I felt to begin working in the field. The program is intense, the professors have high standards, and there is a lot expected from students, And I wouldn't want it any other way! I earned my BA in education and went back for a MSW in my forties. Every department i encountered from student services to financial aide were professional and exceptionally helpful! I would not recommend this school to anyone who cares about their grades and GPA. I worked my butt off to get Deans List mainly every term. If you google any others schools Honors section you will find REASONABLE GPAs for Honor Status. This is how Saint Leo gives out it's Honors: Summa cum laude: 3.95 and above Magna cum laude: 3.85 and above Cum laude: 3.65 and above Here is what most other schools give out: a) Those students who maintain an adjusted GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 will receive recognition... Read More as CUM LAUDE, b) Those students who maintain an adjusted GPA between 3.50 and 3.74 will receive recognition as MAGNA CUM LAUDE, and c) Those students who maintain an adjusted between 3.75 and 4.00 will receive recognition as SUMMA CUM LAUDE. Saint Leo's answer to this big difference is that they hold their students to a higher standard. That is a load of crap! The are overpriced and seem to purposely want to keep you down. I just received my Bachelor's Degree and I considered it a slap in the face that all my hard work got me listed as Cum Laude when it would have been Summa in any other school. It may not seem like a big deal to some but it is when you work hard to achieve goals and do your best and they rip it away from you. I am currently in the Master's Program but I will be transferring schools after this term. I no longer even want to walk at the graduation in June. I worked hard for the day I could cross the stage in front of my family with high honors and they have ruined it for me. The staff doesn't even care about the concern or is not even willing to put in to have the Honors requirements reviewed. Choose a different school!!
