Saint Leo University Online

I like the flexibility of the program and the fact that I get a US degree which does not mention it is online is really good. Credit transfer option is also available so that is an added advantage - if I wish to go to the US for further studies I have that option. The curriculum is up to date, which is especially important considering I am pursuing Digital Marketing. The fee is on the higher side when compared with Indian Universities but the value of the degree and the curriculum itself is worth the extra amount.

Their online MBA is a scam. I've had so far only 2 teachers who were SOMEWHAT knowledgeable about the topic they were teaching. The rest of "professors" are fake - you can't find them anywhere on Linkedin, and if you do, their profiles have nothing in the "education" field in LinkedIn, or,at best, their "PhDs" are from an online university with a 100% acceptance rate. Read More to find a few of these "professors" on LinkedIn, the only experience they have is at Saint Leo University or at their "company" which does not exist when you look it up. When you ask a logical question - they get thrown off, as, again, they HAVE NO IDEA about the topic they are teaching. Anyone who finished a 4-year degree at a legitimate university with at least B+rating, please do not go to Saint Leo for their online MBA. They provide no education and have no real professors. They should be reported to the State Education Board.

I’ll start with saying that in 2019, the government put out that all students affected by classes switching to online that couldn’t be taken in person anymore would not effect BAH rates. Saint Leo closed it’s satellite campuses without informing veterans that they were not eligible for this law because Saint Leo closed down our campuses for financial reasons, not Covid reasons, and hid it from us so that we wouldn’t transfer. My classes have assignments populate on the Courses page, I read the text and look up what I need to off Google, then pass the class without having ever interacted with a professor. I’m not sure why the school is even bothering paying the professors because the ‘lectures’ provided aren’t even their own, it’s all external videos to other peoples work. If you are a veteran, do not attend this university. They pride themselves on being one of the first universities to offer affordable courses to veterans with the GI bills after Vietnam, but there is nothing of that history left here at Saint Leo.

I had to drop a class due to a medical issue. There was some friction, but it was tolerable. Unfortunately, I had to discontinue a second class--also due to a documented medical issue--and this time I am being charged nearly 2000 DOLLARS for a class of which I received NO BENEFIT! I have been fighting the inconsistent application of their policy FOR 18 MONTHS! I cant transfer, I cant register, I cant move on. I have lost time, effort, opportunity, and quality of life. First, let me say, the faculty on staff for the online MSW program are excellent. They are responsive and will offer help, if needed. The adjunct faculty are hit or miss. Some are horrible and some are good. The biggest problem with this program is their internships. They don't have the relationships they promised to have. There are so many other online programs that offer a MSW that have better relationships in the community to obtain internships. If you do decide to enroll, just understand that aspect. The teaching was good, but you are basically on your own.

READ BEFORE YOU DECIDE. I received my bachelor's degree from St Leo on line in 2005. It was paid in full. I received my very impressive degree in the mail. Two years later I decided to go back for my masters. I reapply and of course get in (3.9 GPA for my bach). I started getting charged for fees that I had no idea what they were for. The state I work for was paying the bill for my masters. When I could not figure out why I was getting charged extra fees the state thought this school was a scam and... It has gone to collections and has effected my credit very negatively. 2019.... I have moved from my state to a new one and am needing a copy of my transcripts for my new job. After three days of being put on hold and sent to to many different departments to count, I found out that they had but a hold on my Bach degree due to the fees from my masters program. I explained that they taught me to well. They could not hold my Bach degree for a separate contract that occurred two years later. The orginal contract has been completed. The assistant director, Eusevio Montavo agreed and sent the transcripts. The three day delay almost cost me the job!!!!!!! They apologized and said there would be a note in my account so this would not happen again. 1 1/2 years later... 2020.... I am getting a promotion in my new state, but due to the offices now being closed due to the covid-19 issue, I must reapply for the promotion. Yes this means getting more transcripts. I am now on day two of going through the same thing again. I have missed 1/2 day of work, which looks great when you are trying to get a promotion. I have been on hold a total of 10 hours and transfered to four different departments. Eusevio Monatave never put in any notes into the computer like he said he would. My receipt for the transcripts had to be in by 9:00 AM today which is why I started calling yesterday. I did not need the actual transcipts, just that they were ordered and on the way. It is now 9:30AM and the post has been closed. I have now lost the promotion and and still on hold as I am typing this. Please keep in mind when choosing a university. It is not just how they treat you while you are attending. It is how they treat you after they have your money. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL.

Some of the classes were OK but some of them are really bad and need updating. The marketing class should be scrapped. It was by far the worst class I have ever taken. It is also group based and we had one member that could not even write in complete sentences. So it seems you can just pay for a degree and not apply yourself.
