PGCC is an online school with a physical campus in Largo, Maryland. While the majority of its programs are offered in person, data from the National Center for Education Statistics shows a nearly even split between students who study exclusively online (53%) versus those who may engage in little to no online courses (46%).

This open admissions policy means that all applicants are accepted as long as they meet the admissions requirements for their specified program. Additionally, transfer students must show they have a 2.0 GPA in their previous college credits to be accepted. And some programs, such as those in the field of nursing, require students to have maintained a C-grade average.
