OCU has a campus for local students and an online school for remote students. Certificates, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and master's degrees are all available completely online. The majority of online programs can be found within the field of business — including Human Resources, Marketing, Management, and Accounting. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, 20% of OCU's undergraduate students engage in at least some form of online coursework. 

Every online school featured on OnlineU is accredited. Understanding a school's accreditation status is the best way to determine whether it's legitimate. 

OCU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. This means that OCU's faculty and programs have been vetted to ensure they meet national education standards.

OCU is best known for its spiritual development and Christian values that coincide with its academic programs. All online undergraduate students must complete 41 foundational core credits, which include classes such as Biblical Literacy, Christian Thought, and Faith and Reason. Along with this requirement, OCU also has the Chapman School of Religious Studies, which features four degrees in Christian education and ministry. However, these programs are not available online. 

OCU's online Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice is its highest earning degree. According to the U.S. Department of Education's data on College Scorecard, students can expect to earn a median annual salary of ~$57,700 about three years after graduation. 

The next two highest earning areas of study are accounting and business, and graduates can earn median annual salaries between ~$34,300 and $47,700, respectively. OCU has several related degrees that students can take online, including OCU's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Operations Management.

Similarly, students can look at OCU's Salary Score to gauge a program's financial payoff. This is a proprietary metric developed by OnlineU that compares alumni salaries from different schools using the same degree programs. On a scale of 1 to 100, OCU has a salary score of 51 at the bachelor's level and 50 at the master's level.

College Scorecard shows OCU with a 63% acceptance rate for all incoming students. This rate falls in line with the national average. Although over half of the school's applicants are accepted, it may still be difficult for some to meet all the admission requirements.

Online applicants applying to OCU are required to have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. However, those with a 2.0 GPA can still be considered as long as they have an SAT score of at least 960/1290 or an ACT score of 18 or higher.
