What Are the Admission Requirements for NAU?

  • Select which type of student you are: (1) Freshmen: Traditional Online, (2) Freshmen: Competency-Based Online, (3) Transfer Students: Traditional Online, (4) Transfer Students: Competency-Based Online, (5) Graduate, or (6) International.
  • Submit an online application.
  • Pay a $25 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Pay a $250 enrollment deposit to secure a place in the incoming class. 
  • Submit official high school and/or college transcripts by July 1st. (It’s recommended that first-year applicants have a minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 GPA to be offered admission.) 
  • Send official test scores to be considered for scholarships. NAU highly recommends that applicants submit their SAT or ACT test scores.
