Academically, NYU is rigorous and the course catalogs are endless. The core curriculum at the College of Arts and Sciences consisted of both useful practical coursework and some courses that felt disconnected and unimportant. The Economics department at NYU is well structured, and allows students to pursue electives in specific areas of interest. The main disadvantage to studying Economics at NYU is the large class size that makes developing a relationship with professors difficult at best. Overall, I would certainly recommend pursuing an Economics degree from New York University.
