Yes, NYU is online and has almost 4 dozen degree and certificate programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels that students can complete remotely. However, select programs may require some in-person coursework. While most NYU students attend on-campus, NCES data shows that 1% of NYU undergraduates and 15% of graduate students participate in online-only education. 

Examples of NYU's online bachelor's degrees include information systems management, social science, and leadership and management studies. Online master's degrees include human resources management and development, counseling and guidance, bioinformatics, and American journalism.

Yes, many consider NYU a good school. While it's not an Ivy League school, it's considered one of the top schools in the country. According to the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard, NYU has a 92% retention rate, and 85% of its students graduate with degrees, which is a significantly higher rate than average. Getting into NYU is incredibly difficult. College Scorecard data shows only 13% of applicants are accepted. While the university doesn't require entrance exams, it does consider them during the application process. NYU's GPA requirements are unclear. However, it's safe to assume that accepted students generally have GPAs of at least 3.5.
