Mercy College

Mercy College is an online school that allows students to complete their degrees completely online. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, over half of the school's undergraduate class (51%) is enrolled in at least some distance education courses. 

Mercy College can be considered a good school in some respects. The annual cost of tuition is $4,700 cheaper than the midpoint for other four-year universities. However, graduates should expect to earn a median annual salary of $49,400, which is $1,000 below the midpoint for other four-year universities. 

It's also important to consider if a school is accredited. This means that its programs and faculty have been evaluated by a third-party education agency. Mercy College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education to award distance education degrees.

Five nursing programs are available online — including two master's degrees in nursing, two advanced certificates, and one bachelor's degree. 

According to College Scorecard data, the degrees with the highest earnings from Mercy College are in the field of nursing, where undergraduates can expect to earn a median annual salary of $113,600. The only online degree option at this level is the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN). The second highest earning online degree at the undergraduate level is the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an expected salary of $57,000.

First-year students applying to Mercy College do not have to submit their entrance exam scores. There's no minimum GPA that needs to be met, but specialized programs may have different requirements. Associate degree holders must have a C average in order to fully transfer their credits to a bachelor's program.
