I studied for the business administration: accounting bachelor's degree with the online campus. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at ECPI and was constantly challenged. I waited until graduation to give a review because I have seen so much negativity surrounding its viability to get a job. I got my first accounting job after applying to positions for about a month. Which is pretty normal since they wait for applicants to apply anyway. I had three interviews and got offers on all of them. I started work... I don't care for working for a Big 4 firm, I want to be a controller at a private company with a master's and a CMA. I might get a CPA later on, but I have no interest in working for the B4 firms. If you want to work B4 OR you can wait to get a degree, I'd say go for a traditional, four year degree program. If you can't wait and want to go private industry, then ECPI might be worth it. As a veteran I am so thankful the education I got at ECPI 3 stars for financial aid because they mistakenly held back a Stipend of almost 10k for 6 months. Pretty lousy work, but it only happened once. I still have GI Bill to spare with the yellow ribbon program and scholarships.

Don’t attend this school unless you have a lot of money and time to burn through. I have been at this school since February 2022 and worked hard to maintain a A - B average. But when you have some instructors who clearly are there to make easy money because they don’t have to show up to a actual classroom and use outdated videos that are not in sync with what you are currently doing then it becomes a major problem. Not only that but there are some instructors there who don’t even try to answer questions... Read More and will just leave you stuck trying to figure things out. Yes I even went to tutoring and they even admitted that the videos were out of date and would tell me to not do everything in the videos provided but didn’t go into details on how to complete the assignments. Even after talking to the academic advisors nothing is really done. Therefore you are left with the option to either stay in that class and struggle or drop the class. Also if you are employed in a tech company and you have to turn in your grades this could potentially be the determine factor of you losing your job or trying to come up with another way so that you can stay employed. In my case me and my employer decided that I needed to go into an actual classroom with teachers who actually paid to teach with hands on learning.

Starting out at this school, I was so excited to get into nursing; an accelerated program at that. I passed my TEAS tests and was ready to go. When I started, I knew it would be stressful; I mean it's an accelerated nursing program, BUT I didn't think the instructors and staff would make it even harder to get through. Read More couldn't stand being there) AND get fired (over nothing), then came in the following day to my DON teaching the class (which I simply failed once she came in); and mind you, the DON is supposed to be in her office doing schedules, making phone calls, and being in there in case a student has a problem they need help with. Also, the DON is more worried about interrupting class to call out students wearing jackets/hoodies rather than worrying about the job she has to do. Like I am sitting in a class for 8 hours, a whole workday, I am not going to freeze just because you care more about the dresscode than your job. The assistant DON has actually been teaching a class for two terms now, because of the lack of instructors. Moving on, the instructors do not care about your education. They do not care to teach the correct material. They do not care if you are struggling. I had ONE instructor for two terms who was the only one who seemed like she had her stuff together, and the only one who cared about teaching you the things you need to know. Another one of my instructors was teaching to three students and completely ignored the rest of the class. If the rest of the class was asking a question, she would either cut you off mid question or just make you look dumb in front of the class, after ASKING us to ask her questions. Moving on to clinicals. My clinicals got cancelled for two terms because they could not find an instructor who wanted to instruct ECPI students at the hospital. Therefore, we got told we would have to find time on the side (preferably Saturdays) to make those clinicals up when it was totally out of the students control. Moving on to failing a class. If you fail a class, you are required to sit out for five or more weeks until you can retake it. I was told I was not a priority and couldn't be promised a spot at first. You also can only fail three classes before having to restart the entire program over again, which in my opinion is complete bs. Also, we got offered tutoring, but the tutoring is most of the time either out of town or late at night and for the people who feel they need tutoring but live over an hour away (ME), it's totally unfair. Most instructors do not care to do tutoring after class, and when they do, they belittle you the entire time because you're either failing or struggling to understand things. We also got offered free counseling (yes, crazy right...) but the counseling isn't even free, you have to pay extra. So, these students like me who feel they need counseling because of this, can't even get what they got told they would get because they are broke nursing students who can't even make time to work anymore because they are worried about how they are going to get through it. The school is just simply all over the place. It made me not want to pursue my education to become a nurse; I actually just withdrew from the school. It's pretty discouraging when a school makes you want to give up your dream to find something else to do that makes you happy. I understand nursing school is difficult, but the nursing students deserve the correct material they need to know, they deserve that support group at school (like the DON's, instructors, and staff), and they do not deserve to feel belittled and like they have no help when they need it. If you are reading this and you currently attend ECPI or are planning to, I truly wish you the best and I hope your experience is better because you deserve it. And I apologize for the "rant review".

ALL MILITARY VETS!!! STAY AWAY!!! This school has used my gi bill and lied about attendance. The courses are 5 weeks long, I completed all work assigned by 3.5 weeks in, then I was kicked out of school at the start of the next quarter for inactivity... literally received an 87.48 grade for the class, but was kicked out for being inactive and not given a more logical answer. Stay far away from ECPI and NEVER sign up for this school. I will be hiring an attorney and will do my best to get their accreditation... Read More removed!

If you are going into the IT field I would highly suggest to find the requirements for the job your are seeking. Many jobs in the IT field do not require a degree, a certification will get you much further in the field than a degree ever will. You can find many of the same free study guides and videos ECPI uses on youtube and google. If you would like to spend 60k to obtain a job making 15-16 an hour then this place is for you. If college is what you seek, find a college that will provide you with... Read More certifications upon completion. I blindly thought a degree would mean something more than it actually does today. So in order for me to find a job with a better starting pay, I need to obtain certifications which now require more studying. Don't be like me, research what is required and the skill needed for the job or career field you are seeking. I graduated in 2019, majored in Network and CyberSecurity with a 3.5 GPA and I was not even qualified for a CyberSecurity Internship at my place of employment. Moral of the story... don't waste money with ECPI's CyberSecurity or IT program. Research the requirements needed for the particular job you seek and focus on those.
