Doane University

For a private institution, I was very disappointed that they do not provide any accommodations for students with disabilities. Although it was requested at several levels, the answer was a prompt no. When requesting to receive a call from those in seniority, never received a call back. When asked where I could appeal the decision, I was told there is no appeal, as I am not yet a student. However, I am not a student, as I need to ensure accommodations can be made to be successful. I was told I can... Read More not appeal, as I am not receiving accommodations, but yet they denied my accommodations. I am not sure how I can receive accommodations when they deny them. Overall, those that I had contact with were dismissive and gave a strong impression that Doane University is not an institution that serves those with disabilities. With that being said, I elected another private institution that was accommodating and made me feel like an individual rather than a number. Since I did not receive many of the students, since I did not enroll, as they did not accommodate, I will give the following ratings an average for those that do not apply.
