DeVry University primarily hosts online degree programs. However, over 20 campus locations are spread throughout the country, the majority of which are in California, along with several at the school's headquarters in Illinois. While there are both local and remote learning options for students, most of DeVry's students study online. According to data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), 95-97% of students are enrolled exclusively in distance learning programs. 

The first thing employers look at when it comes to an applicant's degree is whether the school they attended is accredited. An accredited school has been vetted by a third-party agency to ensure it meets the national education standards. Each school listed on the OnlineU site is legitimate and accredited.

DeVry University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Graduates should note that employers won't know if they've earned their degree online or in person because DeVry, like most institutions of higher learning, does not label its diplomas in such a way. 

DeVry is best known for its Keller Graduate School of Management, where students can engage in flexible, 100% online master's degrees — particularly in the field of business. The MBA is one of its most popular programs because it can be completed in as little as ten courses, and it allows students to incorporate graduate certificate credits along the way. This includes areas of study such as project management, human resources, and accounting. Along with DeVry University, the Keller Graduate School of Management is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. 

According to the Department of Education's College Scorecard, the highest earning degree at DeVry University is its online Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology. Students who graduate from this program can expect to earn a median annual salary of ~$67,500 after three years. Another high earning degree is the Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, where students can earn ~$57,900.

OnlineU's proprietary Salary Score metric, which compares alumni salaries of the same degrees from different schools, is another way to determine a graduate's potential earnings. Out of a score from 1 to 100, DeVry has a 55 at the bachelor's level and 34 at the master's level.

The best way to determine if a school is difficult to get into is its acceptance rate. College Scorecard shows that DeVry has a 44% acceptance rate, putting it below the roughly 60% national average. This means that less than half of the applicants are accepted into one of its programs. Another barrier to entry may be the school's application fee, which currently sits at $30. 

In order to apply to college at DeVry, students at least 17 years old must have earned a GED or high school diploma. Additionally, the minimum GPA is 2.0 for all undergraduate applicants.

• Submit additional documents to the admissions counselor, such as transcripts, proof of graduation, or proof of college credits.
• College entrance exams are not explicitly required, although applicants must prove their college-level skills by submitting at least one of the following: SAT or ACT scores, previous college credits, or placement scores from a DeVry-administered test.
