It was a breath of fresh air to see reviews with the same concerns that I have. I am not crazy, and clearly I am not alone. 1) Admissions counselor's blatantly lied and misled me. It was recommended to me from mentors that I find a program that is actively involved in your clinical placement. I asked the admissions counselor that question, whether TCSPP would facilitate clinical placement and he enthusiastically said yes. Learn next to nothing about counseling, but do hundreds of readings and assignments focused on power and privilege, racism, and LGBTQ+ issues. It is redundant, because every class seems like you are repeating readings and assignments that you have already completed 15-20 times.

This school was my dream school. When I enrolled, I went to class for 2weeks and had to drop out. The books and other added fees had gotten to be too much to handle. I even filled out a book voucher and NEVER got that however, I was approved. Do not attend this school because it will cause medical issues if you are on a budget and trying to make ends meet. I personally pray for any student that attends online and cannot get the accurate material 2 weeks before the classes start. It's hard to catch... This school is a money pit.They flaunt "scholarships" and "fellowships" and then when you received your FA letter you see that the only thing you qualified for was a loan. $10k for two classes...I enrolled in a certificate program that literally cost me $20k for 12 credits!!! I took 2 more classes that added another 10k to my loan debt. They are just in it for the money. I finally had enough and finally called FA and asked for an itemized accounting - NO REPLY so far after 8 days. I'll be going elsewhere,... You basically interact with your professor and classmates via a discussion board. You have learning modules with reading assignments; complete the reading and then answer the required questions on the board. If you have any questions for your professor you have to email them. True that most are adjuncts HOWEVER I will say that I have had a great experience with them all. They provide a wealth of information and their real-world experience is very helpful. My one main complaint about this school is the cost. It is NOT worth the "discussion board only" education you get. Not at all.

You will be ok here if you are white. Typical for-profit, gate keeping colonialist school. Dare to complain about a profesor, they will be promoted for it! But wait, that sane person in the point of contact for student concerns so why even bother! If you are in the PhD program, mind that you wont get to pick your chair. Highly don't recommend. Most of your professors are adjunct or PhD candidates. You won't be learning from people who have been in the field longer than you have (sometimes I was in the field longer than them!). This school also does not care about minority groups. Read More sending back my thesis approval for the most ridiculous reasons (e.g., they changed their IRB phone number) and took over 6 months to give me approval for an exempt thesis (i.e., no vulnerable population). I took an extension thesis course and will likely have to take a second because of this absurd lack of professionalism from a school that calls themselves "professional" psychology. Unbelievable. Entire experience was soured by this process. And the school has the audacity to blame me and not assist or give me an alternative in anyway so I can graduate. They took over 50,000 in tuition and want me to pay for their mistakes. The least they could do is give tuition back for the extensions (or better yet, not charge a student for an extension that is clearly the school's fault!). Do not go here. You can get a better, cheaper education somewhere else.

If you are a black female, male, LGBTQ, disabled and using a reasonable accommodation, or non Protestant Christian you will at minimum have a difficult time and will be likely harassed and repeatedly refered to a disciplinary committee that the college claims is not a disciplinary committee. Read More you to write admissions of guilt that they insists are only reflection papers, then you will see the reflection paper again when you are referred to the disciplinary hearing. They also will wait until near the end of your degree when you are past the point you can transfer credits, near the end of your degree, then start harassing you, so they can get as much as possible because they don't want you to leave and loose your tuition money. This school also sweeps race discrimination, disability discrimination, and sexual harassment claims under the rug. Their modus operandi is to pretend to be so incompetent the school's general counsel can't understand claims and will keep asking for clarification even when the claims are extensively documented, so that the claims can be left at an intake stage, never invesigated, and ignore the claims. Multiple students have made claims to the school, have or are considering filing law suits, and have or are considering filing ethics complaints against professors with their state counseling boards.

I've just completed my first year of the IP Phd program (trauma concentration). It has been a great experience. The professors have a wealth of knowledge, they are concerned about you're academic well-being and are quick to respond if you have questions or concerns. The university is fast with responding as well. My cohort's field experience was canceled 3 times no fault of the TCSPP, but due to political atmosphere in one country and covid-19 in 2 other countries. They were concerned with the safety... I must admit this was one of the few programs that allowed me to complete an entire online MA in Forensic Psychology. I'm one of the lucky ones who was able to get a degree out of interest in the topic, not to further my career. Therefore, my standards were already tailored to my needs, and less to the prestige of the degree. So for that, TCSPP was just fine for me. However, the program is expensive. Originally I was enrolled in the DC Campus, even though I applied for the online campus. So after my first semester I had to transfer programs. The communication was very hit or miss on this process until I finally received notice it was complete. The instructors were mostly good, until they were very bad. I had a handful of fantastic instructors through my core classes, and then they got bad. It's like they brought in the bench warmers of PhD Instructors who were grading me on my performance, but couldn't even put together a coherent sentence. The grading rubrics were not consistent instructor to instructor, and what one instructor docked points for in grammar and formatting, another one praised. Be prepared to be frustrated through most of your courses and go with the flow. It's an easy enough program if you just want to get an MA for a hobby, but I'm very glad I don't have to count on this degree for my reputation in the Forensic career field.
