Read More required for this program was far too many, however, because the school decided to eliminate this program as a stand alone degree and it was migrated into an MBA program the school cut down on them considerably although it was a great experience. Con: I had a serious health issue and couldn't complete my last assignment for a class on time but the instructor was not sympathetic at all and basically failed me (C-). Even though I appealed my case to the Academic director and had medical proof from a doctor their decision was to side with the instructor and let the grade hold. Ultimately, I was forced to take another class in the MBA field so that I could graduate since I was short the 3 credits I needed. I felt this decision was unjust and I should have been allowed to make up the paper based on my situation..

Amazing experience, some of the best faculty I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Instructors were universally attorneys working in the field where they taught. The work is not easy, a lot of writing and deep, insightful thought is required.... Read More The instructors were easily available for assistance when needed, and appreciated creative thinking. Having worked in the courts after graduation, the classes here reflect what you will find in the real world. This is my second Master's degree, the first was earned in a brick & mortar school, but this was equally on par. Great investment, immensely helpful, I think it was money and time well spent.

Attending Champlain College online has really prepared me for a rigorous law school program. I graduated in December 2010, and I was highly engaged as a student and very competitive during my studies. I was challenged by every professor that I encountered... Read More in course work and finished in the top of my class for graduation. The professors were highly qualified & experienced judges, and lawyers who were very demanding with instructions, deadlines, online etiquette, feedback with grades, and perfection. I did my best to give them exactly what was required. Learning the rules were different for each professor but my encounter during my undergraduate years at three different schools was most invaluable as it truly prepared me for a very intense, rigorous, and tedious challenge. Independence is a must, by following the syllabus carefully, READING & PRINTING it out in it's entirety is your road map (Guide) and key to your SUCCESS. As with anything in life, Nothing is perfect, & professors are no exception. It is your responsibility as an individual to do the best that you can by always preparing yourself to go beyond what is required, by not doing the minimum just to slide being an average student. Anyone can be an average student but a great student knows he or she will have to go well beyond expectations to stand out and above your peers. Do not wait until an assignment is due at midnight to begin working on it at midnight or waiting until the night before the assignment is due to turn in a ten (10) page paper full of spelling errors, improper reference citations, and plagiarism. Trust me, most experienced professors can tell by the first sentence if it's your own words in writing. Always remember, on your first day of class online at Champlain when a professor ask you to submit an introduction of yourself is mainly to identify who you are but more importantly, establishing your writing style so they can recognize when you submit a paper that is not being written by YOU. Just a suggestion that have always worked to my advantage. Get to learn some of the staff working in the admissions office, financial aid office, and advisors by becoming friendlier instead of becoming an enemy & you will begin to see a difference in how your paperwork is being processed. You can always catch many BEES with honey than with Vinegar (Bad Attitude).
