I loved my time at Arizona State online! I transferred in as a Junior (went to college right out of high school, never finished) and finished in four semesters. The quality of education was superb; the curriculum and professors are the same as for on-campus... Read More students. ASUOnline is more traditional than some other online programs; expect quizzes, tests, papers, lectures, exams, etc. (although all asynchronous). Most of the classes were organized extremely well for the online format; just be prepared to work hard. Each semester is separated into two 7.5 week sessions (A and B), so the material is greatly accelerated compared to the on-campus students. However, even working a full time job with a family, I was able to take 3 (and in one semester 4) classes per session, but it wasn't easy. If you actually want to learn and get your money's worth, I would highly recommend ASUOnline over some of the other options (SNHU, WGU, etc.) because the quality is much, much higher. I'm proud to be an ASU alum!

I’ve read through the comments and felt compelled to write an accurate review from the perspective of a 28 year old, married with three children, disabled veteran and full time employee. I’ve seen quite a few reviews saying that “the program is not meant... Read More for working adults...” I’ll be the first to tell you that it is. If you have the work ethic, you can absolutely achieve a degree. There were times I would have to get up around 4-5AM, before the kids were up, just so I could complete assignments. As far ASU, I actually transferred back to ASU because I found it truly challenging to attend another institution in person. The flexibility of ASU’s platform is really what allowed me as a non-traditional student to graduate. The classes can be challenging and the shift from Blackboard to Canvas was a god send. I enjoyed my time there. The only fault I have with ASU, is their finance department/veteran benefit department. It practically feels non existent. I’ve had periods that were not certified until a week before the course was over. Just remember, the only support you have (from what I’ve experienced) is yourself. You will have to be a self starter to get your work done and address any institutional issues.

This college has changed my life exponentially. When I began my Bachelor's program here I had no idea how much it would change my life for the better, not just through education but through wonderful people and professors I was able to connect with throughout... Read More the online program. The online platform is wonderful for watching lectures and discussing material with fellow students and the professors. Responses are quick and helpful from the professors and the truly are there to help the students succeed. Additionally, the college assigns students to "Success Coaches" which are available to help talk about anything you need varying from budgeting to mental health resources. Tutoring is available for all subjects and the library resource allows students to read and use academic articles, journals, and books for free. I recommend this college to everyone who is considering applying for a new school; I also plan on continuing with my education through their multitude of programs. If you need to speak with a counselor and you will be overwhelmed with the friendly and helpful nature of all of them. I can't praise this school enough, it is an amazing place to be; I am proud to be an Arizona State alumni.
