The online grad program are not 8 week courses. It is actually a 7 and half week courses. Misleading description. Professors regularly issue flunking grades of Zero for assignments, even though work is completed 100%. Tuition is paid in full, and penalize students if final paper is not turned in by the 7 and half weeks, even though it is turned in on time, before the end of 8 weeks. Students pay for the 8 weeks, yet don't get credit for the 8 weeks. Too expensive for not being real 8 week courses.... Read More Online courses consist of students searching other colleges and writing English papers about other colleges. Writing opinion essays about other college equine programs has nothing to do with gaining graduate skills for equine education career skills. There are not textbooks for any of the courses. A course only has a couple of links to online articles. Then have to write your own opinion about the other colleges. Not worth the tuition debt for these classes. I was an honors student in undergrad at different college, and I took Accelerated English in undergrad, and this Grad program is not a good investment. I am looking to transferring out to a real grad program.

I graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Plant Science, then went to Japan to teach English. During my time in Japan, I wanted to try and earn a master's degree. Read More on-campus and was hesitant to enroll for an online program. So I took the plunge and enrolled in their full-time 100% online degree program and have not been disappointed one bit. The instructors are experts in their fields, the online interface is very easy to use, grading is timely, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, each class' expectations are clear. The tuition costs are also affordable compared to the many offered by other institutions. I was able to purchase rental ebooks from Japan without a problem which was delightful. Sometimes the work load can be tough, especially when working a full-time job at the same time, but I have learned quite a bit. The access to the Dulany Library's online research database was always accessible. If an article was not available online, I would request it through a form and receive a scanned copy the next day! I will be finishing up and graduating this fall. Looking forward to my remaining time with William Woods University. If an online MBA suits your needs, I think William Woods University is more than a fitting choice. I am very thankful I have definitely flourished!

William Woods University's Sign language interpretation program is one of the best in the country. The program is very hands on and offers a variety of learning techniques. The small class sizes are great for 1 on 1 instruction. If you are struggling with a concept or just even want some additional help outside of the classroom the staff is there for you . Not only is the program tailored to interpreters it also prepares you for both the National interpreting test and the state interpreting test.... The Deaf school is minutes down the street where you can become involved in many aspects of there day from after school sporting events to various events sponsored by the school or even becoming a volunteer at the school. Also there is a sign language club on campus that allows to become involved around campus and provide awareness on Deaf culture. The staff are very accommodating to your needs and will continue to work with you to make sure you succeed. Another opportunity that is provided is the Deaf run lab where you have the opportunity to get help from Deaf mentors as well as visit weekly to continue practicing your skills. There are a multitude of resources available at William Woods in order to succeed within the interpretation program. There are also other programs that go along side this degree that are beneficial in background knowledge once in the interpreting field.

I was very excited to find William Woods because they have a completely online Master's program in Equine Education! This was exactly the kind of program I was looking for to further my education and make myself more marketable to the university I am teaching part time for. I am working on this degree so that I can be eligible for full time teaching at a university that has a growing equine assisted activities program. One aspect that I enjoy is the flexibility I have while completing the graduate program. I believe that the advisers are educated and have helped me tremendously with understanding and applying the right steps for completion of this program. The teachers I have had so far are very knowledgeable and create an atmosphere intended for learning and critical thinking. I personally had an initial appointment set up to conduct an over the phone orientation and did not receive the call. It went back and forth for several weeks this way, and still never got the orientation. The initial call was put about a month before class started so I could familiarize myself with the program itself. I ended up trying to figure out the program by myself.

I started out really happy I chose to go for my degree, but as the years went by, the school raised the prices and didn't change the quality of education that they were giving. There are some professors that shouldn't be teaching in this program that is supposed to be of higher quality as it has the reputation of being the first in the country. Now I'm kinda wishing I would have chosen a different degree that was less expensive, but still be able to spend time with my animals. And now I have racked... Don't choose your college just by the fact that you think that the instructors are worth your time when they're not.

William Woods University offers a great Master's program for individuals who currently have jobs by offering flexible programs that really focus on contemporary issues within education. The one down side that is apparent with the degree from William Woods is that the prestige of the degree is still growing and not seen as comparable to other degrees yet by some areas outside of Central and Northeast Missouri.

I am currently enrolled in WWU Education Administration cohort program. I love that this program is cohort style, and that I am travelling through the program with the same people. This helps build a great community for our classroom learning. I also enjoy that the professors of the program are local administrators and have had experience in a variety of situations that are pertinent to our future as administrators and superintendents.
