Degree: Social Work

Attending WMU was the best decision I ever made. I learned about my career path, but also about life in general.

The masters program was easier than I expected but the professors were knowledgeable.

Degree: Social Work

Quality professors, interesting courses available, nice facilities, some challenges in scheduling courses needed towards the end of my degree.

Degree: Social Work

This graduate program does a very good job at preparing their students to enter the work force. The professors are knowledgeable and are willing to work with students to help them learn and not just receive a degree. Kalamazoo is also a wonderful college town that offers a lot to it's students.

Degree: Social Work

Western Michigan has offered me a wonderful start to my graduate program in social work. The professors are friendly, academically versed, and always willing to support me. Kalamazoo, Michigan has been a wonderful destination for my young family too. It provides free transportation to campus, weekly city-sponsored cultural experiences, and diversity.

Degree: Social Work

I think the Social Work program overall is fantastic. The only negative experience that I have had involve the faculty's lack of communication in some situations. However, that has not taken away from my experience in any significant way.

I feel that the limited options provided and limited supports offered do not compare to those offered to the main site's student body. I feel that this is a disservice, due to the fact that we at the regional site pay a larger tuition for this "privilege."

Degree: Social Work

The strengths of my graduate program were the great variety of field placement for your social work internship. The staff and professors were quite knowledgeable in their fields of study. Due to the fact that my undergraduate degree from another college called Kuyper College was set up in a similar way to Western's master's program I was better prepared to do well at this school. I wish that there would have been a greater variety of courses to take in interpersonal studies that focused on how to... Read More
