Honestly the main thing I miss about WVU is the vibes. Lets be honest, anywhere you go you can get your degree and then go on and get a job. Most jobs are gonna be learn as you go anyway and what you "learned" at college probably wont matter much. But in order to actually make it to that point, you have to graduate and that's where I think WVU will really shine for prospective students. The vibes and aesthetics of the campus and area at large are great. It really helps take a load off the psyche.

Although my school wasn't entirely bad, it was not the best decision for me when it came to the goals that I wanted in my life. I have been more of a creative individual as opposed to technical. Even though I have technical abilities that I progressed in, West Virginia University did not apply well towards my creative side. The school had many great benefits that basically any other school had to offer. But due to the lack of diversity and creativity in the environment, the school just wasn't best... WVU is hard to get used to your freshman year. There are 3 different "campuses" within the main campus. It is a very large school with a lot of diversity which is great! Your general education classes like intro. to bio/chem/english/etc are not very personal because of the volume of students that need in those classes. However, instructors always have office hours and a lot of them are very helpful during those hours if you need a more personal learning. Once you get into your major classes, the... Read More professors are awesome. Medical lab science is a very small major with about 25 students. It was very personal and all of the professors were so helpful and wanted you to succeed. I am going back to WVU for my graduate degree. It is an awesome experience.

The Bachelor's of Multidisciplinary studies degree that I earned at West Virginia University has proven to be a useful pre-requisite to my pursuit of a Master's program. My minors, which comprised this Bachelor's Degree, were English, Philosophy, and Religious Studies. As a student whose interests spanned a wide array of disciplines, I had a hard time narrowing down the degree to just these three. I appreciated the opportunity afforded me by this degree program to be introduced to multiple disciplines... Read More and to discerningly integrate that which I was taught concerning each discipline into my own understanding. I am now pursuing a Master's of Divinity degree at Mid-America Reformed Seminary in Dyer, Indiana. This degree demands an ability to deal with the multiple disciplines involving literary analysis, historical studies, religious studies, archaeology, linguistics, public speaking, teaching, and counseling. For those who have pursuing a life of learning, I can readily say that the Bachelor's of Multidisciplinary studies degree I earned has proven to be a good start.

WVU is a very special place. You're going to get out what you put in. I studied business, and I received a good education from all of my professors. As far as the cost went, it was unbeatable. Their out of state tuition alone was about half of what my in state tuition was going to cost me. I think the biggest thing that I took away from WVU was the people that I met, and the network I built. It's because of me going to WVU that I am now able to pursue the master's degree that I am. West Virginia University offers an excellent Masters program in Special Education. The online degree program reaches students of diverse ages in all 50 states and internationally. Quality professors have created a rigorous and challenging course of study. The program requires students to think critically and interact collaboratively. WVU integrates technology so that lectures are live and students collaborate in class in small groups, and we also discuss articles outside of class using online discussion boards. Field experiences allow students to observe local classrooms and synthesize information learned in class with best practices. I highly recommend WVU for graduate level learning.

West Virginia University's Integrated Marketing Communications online program provided a fantastic graduate experience because your advisors and professors dedicate themselves to setting you up for success. Before this program, I had never taken an online class before so learning how to navigate an entirely online program was daunting. Since marketing is an ever-changing industry, it is essential that a graduate program dealing with marketing reflects the current industry. This program does exactly that by exploring how automation and A.I. impact marketing and what the future of marketing. Also, my program offers an alternative to an MBA by allowing IMC students to enroll in a management concentration. I cannot speak highly enough of my program!

West Virginia University is my home. I honestly cannot imagine attending another university. The campus is unique, historical, and beautiful. There's always something to do and something going on.
