Horrible school with instructors that contain knowledge irrelevant to modern society. School is only interested in making money and not the value of a student's life. 0/10 would recommend you attend. You are better off going to community college oppose to this "University"

Wayne State College is a small college where you get hands-on learning in a small class environment. The teaching department does a great job of being understanding and demonstrating how teachers should conduct themselves and preparing students to become professionals in a profession that is dying in a sense.

Wayne state was a wonderful school. Small classes and opportunities to work with fellow students. A lot of on campus activities and also the instructors are there for you when needed. Advisers are quick to get to you and also the atmosphere. Wayne State has a great diversity and students all join clubs to get to know other people and meet new people.

Wayne State College provided an A+ education, without inflicting an unreasonable student loan debt. I was an adult raising children when our financial situation suddenly changed. When I mentioned something to an employee there, they sought scholarships for me on my behalf. I received two. They took care of me. I will forever be committed to doing whatever I can for this fabulous, beautiful college. The rigor of my education was incredible, too. They provide a sound education and get their students... The campus is in a small town, so there are not a lot of metropolitan distractions - you can focus on your studies. The science program at WSC is a very thorough one...IF you're willing to do your work.

I enjoyed the campus because it was small and most teachers took the time to get to know their students. The downside is that it gets deserted on the weekends.

The program I am in is called a Community of Learning. So instead of being in the classroom, we meet as a large group one weekend a month for the entire weekend. This gives us opportunities to have discussions, generate ideas, and learn from other areas. Then we are able to go back to our own classrooms and implement what we learned. This gives us time to really develop an idea in the classroom and turn around and bring the ideas back for discussion. Communication between members is left open, so... Read More

The program is geared primarily towards mental health professionals even though it includes the school counseling profession.

There are 5 categories I did not rate because they did not pertain. Otherwise I rated everything else an 8 and 9. The program is combined mental health and school counseling. There is limited focus on the ASCA nat'l model because it is heavy on the mental health perspective.

I feel the pros of my graduate program is the one on one interaction I get with the teachers and the small class size. You really get to know each other on a personal level with students and professors and get different ideas and perspectives. The cons are definitely the online classes. I feel some of the online classes should be in class just so students get a better understanding of what they are supposed to be doing.

I suggest the program for those who want a MBA by doing a part-time program so that they can still focus on work and not lose their income.

Pros: The professors modify their presentation of course content in novel and creative ways, which appeals to the divergent learning abilities of the graduate students. Professors request feedback from the graduate students, with regard to the effectiveness of the lectures and course assignments, and they implement the student feedback. The professors are approachable and not intimidating. Con: Some of the classes offered during the summer, aren't offered during the regular school session.

The best thing is the value for your money, the practicality of the program, the fact it is online, and that you can apply what you are learning to day-to-day life.
