Utah Valley University was a great place, the best part was it felt like a great place to learn without too many distractions. I also liked that it was a hands on school rather than a research school. The reason I liked that was the professors seemed to be more involved in teaching rather than their research.

UVU is a great school. It has a very convenient campus that is basically all one giant building. This makes it very walkable especially in the cold Utah winters. That being said, parking can be crazy. The aviation program was especially great. All the aviation classes are located at the provo airport about 15 min away. Great campus there to. Great professors who have actually worked im the field.

Utah Valley University was a great university, being so close to the mountains and being so close to Salt Lake City without actually being in the city put it in a perfect location. It was easily the best four years I had and after i graduated the faculty helped me so much in attaining a job.

I had a good experience attending school here. The professors and instructors in my department were knowledgeable and engaged in helping the students learn and grow. The university offers a large variety of courses so you can customize your degree and experience. The guidance counselors helped me find the appropriate courses and I was able to pursue my interests while earning applicable credits towards my degree. I made connections and was able to network easily, too.

UVU is a fantastic school. While getting my business degree, I worked with great students and excellent educators with real world, business experience. I learned so much and felt adequately prepared to enter the workforce after attending here. UVU is a great place for a quality education without completely breaking the bank.

I was able to work during my degree at UVU which was huge in helping me not take on debt. The tuition was also more than affordable and significantly lowering than many other institutions. Though my college experience may not have been the same as many others UVU allowed me to do what I needed to do to get my degree.

After my experience with UVU Education Department I would not ever recommend for anyone to attend or be part of this school. There were several times that the teachers brought in for the program were horrible and not qualified to teach the subject they were teaching. Professors were not clear as to what to do or expect during the student teacher process. The professors and Dean are all part of “the good boys club” and are not encouraging or helpful to students.

I don’t want to be rude but, the professors here in my opinion are not too helpful. Same with the advisors. I am in the process of going to another school. I am sad since this University was very close to where I live. I have had nothing but bad luck with this school. The college I am transferring to had to help me get my transcript because my advisor wasn’t helping much. I have only had two professors that honestly cared about my education and made me feel worth their time. I am trying to make the... Read More

I would not waste your time. One of the classes I took had clearly not been updated since at least 2007 and the teacher was not contactable. The financial aid office was a joke and the payment plans they come up with to help are obscene. They clearly only care about the money and not their students.

Utah Valley University is an excellent school that is very much on the rise. I loved the accounting program, and everything that I was taught there has already helped me to land a great career at an incredible accounting firm. What I love most about Utah Valley University is its focus on providing a great education to its students. UVU does not have a large focus on research. While some might see this as a poor decision and the reason that UVU does have the prestige of Harvard, I see it as a wonderful... Read More

I love Utah Valley University's focus on engaged learning, this is an especially beneficial attribute with a degree like social work. When applying for graduate schools and jobs relating to social work, they primarily care about your experience in the field. Utah Valley University starts engaged learning long before you start your program. During my freshman and sophomore year, I had several classes that required community service. This helped me to be a valuable candidate for the BSW program and... Read More

Utah Valley University's Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program is the most diverse academic experience in the State of Utah. All races, genders, and orientations are welcomed here, making the learning experience enriching and vast. Each student brings a welcome wealth of understanding, and with the small class sizes, each member of the cohort takes turns as both the learner and the teacher. Speaking of teachers, the faculty at UVU are both experienced practitioners and skilled lecturers making... Read More

My experience at Utah Valley University has been unbeatable. I have gone to UVU for 4 years, and will be graduating this semester. In this time, I have worked with almost every teacher in the music department. One of the best things about the music department is that students really do get amazing opportunities that don't exist elsewhere. A huge example of this was the fact that I was able to be an assistant conductor for UVU choirs for 2 years. In this position, I acquired invaluable skills, and... Read More

Utah Valley University's accounting program is a very well thought out, and progressive program. It demands excellence from its prospective graduates. However, the faculty and staff of this program are wonderful and very helpful individuals. Most professors are willing/ require to meet one-on-one to ensure that students receive all the help and resources necessary to succeed.

Utah Valley University was an amazing school. Even though it is one of the largest public schools in the state, somehow the class sizes were small and intimate. I emphasized in Social Work with the degree and unfortunately was too far along to change my major to Social Work but I still felt like I got the education I needed to move on in my career. I have been working in the Social Work field for almost 3 years now and will soon be attending graduate school to receive my MSW and I feel more prepared than ever thanks to the wonderful professors at UVU!
