Degree: Business

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is a wonderful school that I would recommend to anyone. The Business school is phenomenal and truly prepares you for the real world. It has a small town feel but has plenty of things to do while maintaining the college town atmosphere. This school is a great option for those trying to save some money while getting a top notch education.

While my experience at school was fun and a lot different coming straight out of high school, I do not think the major specific classes had as big of an impact on me as I would have thought. It was nice having the general ed classes expose me to various topics I likely would not have explored otherwise and make me a more well rounded person. The CS classes have some work to be done though to be considered great. Some professors definitely got a reputation of hosting quality courses over others. I... Read More

The University of Wisconsin Whitewater made my college experience the best it could have been. Class sizes are relatively small so professors are able to get more 1 on 1 time. Campus is very easy to navigate and walkable. Sports are non stop and everyone loves going to the games! Dorm life was pretty fun as well. I met my very best friends and husband there, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Degree: Information Technology

Attending UW–Whitewater in Wisconsin for my IT degree was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The program gave me a strong technical foundation, supportive professors, and hands-on experience that translated directly into real-world skills. The coursework and opportunities on campus helped me discover my passion for data, and ultimately led me into a successful career in data engineering. I’m genuinely grateful for the education and direction UW–Whitewater provided.

Attended this University from 15'-19' and received my Bachelor's in OSH. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. The University is beautiful. If you want true one-on-one with your professors and colleagues, this is the place to go.

UW-Whitewater has been a great college for me the last four years. The campus is smaller, with all buildings less than 15 minutes away. Class size is relatively small (depending on major) so the one-to-one feeling with professors is great. Whitewater is the perfect little town for those that don't want a huge city feel!

I loved my experience at UW-Whitewater. While I learned so much in the classroom, Whitewater benefited me most outside of the classroom. UWW is the perfect size; it is large enough that there are ample opportunities, but small enough so that each person can thrive in these opportunities. Each student at UWW has a face and a name; your professors will know and care about you. Whitewater is also the perfect location - located in the middle of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison. Access to these three major... Read More

I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and I loved every minute of my time there. As a small program, all my professors went out of their way to help me succeed in the classroom and achieve my career goals. All my professors knew who I was and genuinely got to know me on a personal level. As a four year student athlete my professors, coaches, and advisors communicated seamlessly in order... Read More

UW-Whitewater provided high quality resources for students with special needs. With the accommodations they have provided, they assisted students in job opportunities, exam spaces, and individualized education plans. The cultural atmosphere in the Art Department is authentic, sincere, and compassionate. The technical aspects taught in each of my courses provided a high amount of versatility, strength, and personal growth.

I was a transfer student to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the Spring of 2008. The transfer process between a private school to a public school was extremely easy. I had a student advisor who met with me for freshman orientation, showed me around campus, and even introduced me to my Resident Advisor. I was able to integrate very fast since the campus is on the smaller side. My professors were all very knowledgeable and willing to help in all areas of course work. I would recommend joining... UW-Whitewater is a great school. The academic advisors worked with me to make sure I could graduate quickly and keep working. They helped me transfer as many credits as possible from my Associate's Degree while tailoring the program to me. The instructors I had were all very helpful allowing me to meet right after class or through email and always worked with me till I got my questions answered.

UW-Whitewater, while in a small community, offers a diverse range of academic courses and social events to choose from. After leaving Whitewater and entering the workforce, I felt more prepared than many new teachers. Because of the excellent reputation Whitewater has for their teacher preparation program, I was able to find a job quickly and I felt prepared to be the best teacher I could be.

Pros - very supportive department of staff and faculty. The knowledge gained is extremely valuable and the ways we are challenged to think differently are rewarding. Con - location and transportation. Luckily the campus and city is small, so you can get to many places by walking. However, the surrounding cities are small as well and it's a good half hour drive through country roads to hit the closest big city.

I loved Whitewater! It was a very affordable school, making many updates. It wasn't too big either. I am not a city person, so I felt comfortable at the smaller school that is still rated pretty highly among the public school in Wisconsin.

I am very satisfied with my graduate degree program because it is designed for the working safety professional. All of my classwork is applicable to my daily job functions, and I feel that my classmates have become valuable resources for information. The professors in the program are amazing.
