I was an exchange student at this university and spent year 2 of 3 of my bachelor's degree studying here. I have no complaints about the level of teaching at this institution. I found the experience worthwhile and have no regrets about attending here.

My experience with the University of Toledo was fantastic. The classes were rewarding and challenging, the professors were understanding and helpful, and the facilities on campus were great. The only downfall is parking on main campus, it was kind of a nightmare due to them getting rid of parking garages. They really should implement some solutions so students aren't walking 30min to class.

I enjoyed the internship experiences that were offered to me. I thought the class times were reasonable. Only negative feedbac I have is that i felt as if the professors were often overwhelmed with all other parts of their profession that things were often overlooked or never addressed in class.

It was a good school that provided a great foundation to my education. There were shortcomings like classes being cancelled due to not enough enrollment but other than that, twas great. Parking was always a problem and parking patrol was constantly looking to fine people. Lab classes were 3-4 hours long, much longer than they needed to be.

The University of Toledo is a high quality university to attend. The programs offered provide a wide range of career opportunities. The professors are top notch and were always available to guide me through coursework when needed. The courses were challenging and prepared me for my career.

Wasn’t able to see my first dorm before I moved in. Supposedly ‘President’s hall’ was renovated but alas no-we had problems with plumbing, air conditioning and heating, holes in the wall beneath the sink. They stack 6 people in a dorm with only one toilet, one shower and 2 sinks.
Academically, everything is online (minus midterms and finals), even if you attend classes in person. The only thing that was offline were the labs and even then after labs you would have to log in all of your information... Read More
Dining: there are two diners one in Ottawa East and the other in Student Union. They both are a decent walk away, Ottawa East opens at 2pm and closes at 8pm-so if you want breakfast you have to walk all the way up to student union which opens at 7am and closes at 2pm.
Events, the events are usually planned by those who don’t have a big workload, so if you are in a demanding major don’t expect to have the ideal college life-you are most likely to be sitting at your dorm working on busywork and aleks.
I expected better out of the University of Toledo.

Got accepted into the Grad Degree program and hired for a UT job, and then experienced MONTHS of frustration with the bureaucrats who insisted on me completing non-existent forms, demanding that I travel for in-person meetings, and then "Oops we forgot you need one more form". I had to drive hours to go in for an appointment at the business office, parked in the spaces marked VISITOR-- and got a parking ticket! then had to spend time tracking down the person at the school who would clear it. They... Read More

One time a teacher told me I was stupid and that's why I was having a hard time in class. There's absolutely no parking even though it's largely a commuter college and they rob you if you're outside of the parking. Also they changed the rules so that you can't park for free during off hours anymore. The staff is rude, Rocket Hall is always overwhelmed and doesn't help. The advisors for the business college have no clue what they're doing. They offer a bachelor's in Paralegal Studies, they boast in... Read More

I graduated just over a year ago and the program was atrocious. I breezed through with a 4.0 with minimal effort. To clarify my gpa is not a result of my commitment to the program and educational achievements, instead it is a result of a program that is unchallenging. An average performing middle school student could achieve a degree in social work from this program. Instructors have no drive for teaching and the program is an embarrassment. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable program.

University of Toledo's criminal justice program is one centered around the students and their future goals, but tends to overlook some minor facets of the student population. With the majority of the criminal justice students planning to work in law enforcement, probation, or parole, the classes tend to focus on these kids yet for students like me, who want to go to law school, we didn't receive as much guidance.

Even though I was a transfer student at the University of Toledo, I instantly fell in love with the school and the criminal justice program. The program can be taken entirely on campus, online, or a blend of both which makes it super helpful to work around busy schedules. Once you're able to register for the higher level electives, there is such a wide range of courses you can take that focus on so many of the different fields in criminal justice.

Its not always easy however it is totally worth it. You will love the professors. Most of them will go over and beyond to help you with what you need. They have a bunch of school activities for you to participate in. Definitely get out there and network with people. Or else you will regret it in the long run. The school is costly so definitely apply for scholarship. They have tutors that you can meet with to get help on you class work.

Be ready to write papers almost every week, but you will eventually get so good at it that it won't even feel like a burden anymore. All of the courses you get to take are super interesting. Some I took that I really enjoyed were Psychology and the law, cognitive psychology, biopsychology, abnormal psychology, and much more. Be sure to join a research lab to get more experience. This will also look really good on resumes when applying to graduate school.

I can say as a graduate student at one of the largest universities in the country, that I have felt incredibly prepared by the University of Toledo and specifically, my program and professors as they have provided me with a very solid grounding to be successful in my current schoolwork. For the most part, the campus and facilities are updated, though parking is very difficult to find and there isn't tons to do, socially speaking in the area surrounding the campus.

The University of Toledo truly set me up for great success. I am forever grateful for the individuals that I met during my time there. The professors are individuals that still are some of my closest mentors that are "in my corner" when needed. I have been able to reach out to them at any time or day and they are willing to help me , whatever it may be; writing recommendation letters, meeting up for coffee to catch up, and help to challenge me. I did not have a close relationship with my advisor not for lack of trying, but scheduling conflict for the advisor. As a person that value diversity, I did not see that much in the program, curriculum, or faculty and it's important to be exposed to diversity in an academic setting when the populations we may potentially work with may reflect various backgrounds. I made great connections with classmates more so than anything else. Some of the courses that were on campus may have been more effective... Read More

The University of Toledo Physician Assistant (PA) Program has been both a rewarding and rigorous educational experience. As with all PA programs, the curriculum is very full, and much time is needed to master in the material. Unlike other PA Schools in the region, the UT program shares the campus of a major regional medical center, which provides many opportunities. It was overall easy to use online systems for scheduling classes and track personal progress without constantly needing to check with an advisor. However, when you do need to meet with an advisor its a bit of a pain so schedule very early on in the semester and cancel if no longer needed vs. waiting and then not making a cut off because you had not meet with an advisor yet.
