Networking is a critical part of attending USC. While it is academically challenging, the greatest benefit comes to those who know how to leverage the universities resources in their favor. Social life revolves around the Greek community, so be prepared to be outgoing and open to new experiences.

If you're not enrolled in a top-10 program for your degree, than don't go out of state - it isn't worth the debt. Apply for every scholarship you can! Remember that your freshman year sets the foundation for your GPA (it's alot harder to bring up afterward than it is to bring down). STUDY ABROAD!
