I had high hopes for the knowledge I would gain attending the online courses for University of Phoenix. I attending classes consistently for two years, only taking a two-week break at Christmas-time, and was surprised by the difference in difficulty from my courses. If my job had not paid for about half, I would feel utterly ripped off. I have a degree, but I don’t feel that I gained much by attending University of Phoenix.

This university, University of Phoenix, is horrible. They do not care about their students, only the financial aid benefits they receive from the student’s enrollment. Their financial aid department is worthless, slow, and unprofessional. Do not trust this school at all. They change policies at their whim to fit what they are doing but expect you to adhere to all the rules they have set. I currently have a 3.82 GPA, I have been on the Deans List since I started my program last year, and I guarantee I would graduate at the top of my class but due to the inefficiencies of this school I will not be finishing my program with the University of Phoenix

When I first started everything was fine but now that I have been attending I have ran into situations that are unheard of. It seem like they only care about themselves. Which I completed my last class with an A- only because they had made my experience getting help terrifying and so stressful. Im just praying that they fix the problem they caused for me really soon. As far as the teacher and the classes are concerned I really enjoy them. As far as the teacher if you have a concern they will assist asap. But the last past month has taught me that every other department if they answer your phone call will not assist. But they make things hard for students especially been a first year college student it's has had me depressed, stressed out and feeling really down and out. To have to call someone every single day is the worst. And I'm still waiting to see what tomorrow brings for my class and my disbursements. The University of Phoenix is a challenging college. They push you to do your best, and the academic counselors always check in to see if you have any questions regarding your class or your future classes. If you put your mind to it, you can do it! School is more than financial aid and getting grants, yes, the classes are expensive, but they tell you that before you enroll. All colleges have requirements they have to follow when concerning financial aid and grants, they go through the same process as other colleges. My advice is to go to better your career and not to get the financial aid or student loans. When you apply yourself, it shows, and by the way, LinkedIn have hundreds of jobs for students who graduate from University of Phoenix, you just have to apply yourself!

I should have read reviews period! The enrollment reps and instructors are great along with the online format. BUT the financial department is a joke! You get told over and over different things that aren't correct and then next thing you know your being pulled from classes because they didn't get documents that you had sent multiple times. Financial Aid, and Academic Counselors have disappointed me to the max. I am completely in awe on how negligent they are with the students once they are enrolled and receiving their check. It seems as there is a disconnect with management because the way my account was handled was frustrating. I don't trust these people at all and I am glad I am looking into transferring out.
