Best college ever! Close to the beach and large enough to be fun, but small enough to not feel lost.

UNCW is a great school with several really well developed major programs, including film studies, communication studies, nursing, and criminology. The university is well balanced in academic and social respects, and is a very positive environment.

The pros is that it is a clinically based program and you get to do an internship for a year and a half. The cons would be the lack of diversity and the amount of school work required with no extra time to be able to work outside of your internship and school hours.

The Language and Literacy program is great for those who wish to further their education in how to teach kids to read, write and live life to the fullest. It has opened my eyes to a variety of literacies and made me become interested in the stories and relationships of others. The professors at UNCW are progressive and challenge students to think for themselves. Highly recommended!

There could definitely be more support offered to the students, especially those distance education education students. If the school would provide more information to prospective and admitted students via the internet, it would prove to be more useful than students spending hours searching the website for information, only to be forced to call the school and spend time on the phone trying to get connected with the right person to get the needed information.

I am very happy with my choice of graduate programs. The general psychology track prepares students for future graduate work. I feel the program does a great job of this objective.
