The University of Michigan Law School is a great school. It's very unique in its character as well as academically challenging. I'm happy I decided to go to this school over any other school.

An an international student I feel very welcomed by the University community. The support of the school was more than excellent for me to manage to integrate with the recently unknown to me American law school environment.

I believe the program is really great. The professors are very accessible and the classes are small, which allows a personalized education.

Michigan Law School is amazing. The quality of the education provided here is out of the charts. Professors are very well prepared and are usually leaders on their field of study. The Office of Career Planning actively works to help all students out and the social events and networking events are constant and helpful.

Michigan Law is simply the best! Everyone is so congenial and the work load isn't that bad. The weather can be rough at times but otherwise its the best! Go Blue!

Aside from about three of the professors, the focus of education for the core subjects is on a paper trail, not on teaching ability. The social life is essentially divided between the married crowd and the straight through/wish you were still in college crew - they get drunk three nights per week. The new public interest career program is a drastic improvement.

Michigan Law is an excellent, elite, competitive law school. I'm happy to have the opportunity to come to this school. Ann Arbor is an expensive but nice town in which to live while going to school.

Great school. I've got a high paying job coming out. Great network. Ann Arbor is just sort of boring.

Best: Michigan is a great school, and Ann Arbor is an awesome place to live. Worst: It's law school, and it is full of law students...

Pros: Nice facilities, serene setting, students are competitive but not cutthroat, very intelligent classmates, school is proximate to bars, downtown Cons: Gyms (IM and CCRB) are a bit run-down and not fitting for an insitution of this caliber and this level of tuition; Buses do not run as frequently as they should and stop running too early; Tuition is very high

The law school is great. Awesome faculty and great students. Ann Arbor is a great town to do law school in - the perfect size such that there is always something going on but not too much.

Pro: the program is very strong; professors are very approachable and helpful, you just need to go ask for help; quite active student body and surprisingly not as cut throat as one thinks law schools normally are Con: it is a large school with lots of students so some times the school feels crowded and without a space for you to study (but you have access to non-law buildings too so that helps); cost of living (rent) is relatively high compared to other college cities of similar size in similar geography... Incredibly congenial environment that supports success for all. Diversity could use improvement.

Pros: I think the academic environment here is very good. The faculty and professors are also nice and helpful. The sport centers are superb. Cons: the food service seems to be poor and there is nearly no groceries and convenience stores around the school.

Academically, I wouldn't go anywhere else but I'm not a big fan of small town life and much less when it holds itself out as a city. The only thing that makes Ann Arbor city like is that it's full of undergrads so it looks like people are always out and about.
