University of Massachusetts - Amherst

When I got my acceptance letter from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I immediately knew that I was going to attend. From the first time that I stepped on campus, to the moment I walked across the graduation stage in Mullins Center, I felt like Amherst was my second home. I always felt safe in my school and living environments, and the staff all served as role models for me in my career.

I transferred to Umass after starting out at a smaller school. The major difference were in the campus feel and food. Umass has been a top ranked school for food for a number of years now, and while you might not need #1 dining, having bad dining hall foods makes everything else worse. The classes were good, the environment (ability to find what you want to do with your free time) was great. Sports were mediocre

Completing my college degree had been put on hold due to my professional commitments. UMass Amherst online MBA program allowed me the flexibility to earn my degree while maintaining all of my personal and professional commitments. Along with the convenience, the reputation for a solid and rigorous academic program was even more appealing because it has the weight of a real degree and not an "online" degree.

UMass Amherst was a great mix of social and academic. The teachers were top notch, and the facilities were great for learning. After graduating, I felt very prepared for my job. Additionally, it’s a well-recognized institution, so on top of quality education, those in the workforce recognize the school which is a strong benefit while job searching.

I attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and had a wonderful experience. As a larger state school, it was necessary to do my own legwork to make the most of my experience. However, the university had a lot of resources available to help me find research experience, mentorship, and work, as well as many extracurriculars through which I met wonderful friends. Even in large classes, I felt academically supported and still use the knowledge I gained in my daily career.

I'd strongly recommend Umass Amherst. It's very competitive and reasonably affordable. The blended (hybrid) afternoon schedule thst I did sign up for was extremely convenient to working adults. On top of that, classes were off campus making it easier since the commute to Western Massachusetts could be tiring.

I have no regrets about my choice to attend UMass Amherst. As an in-state student who valued academics and socialization, I feel that UMass offered a perfect balance and excellent financial value. I studied hard, participated in many groups on campus, took tons of interesting classes, and made life-long friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UMass Amherst. The professors were intelligent and professional. The school provided so many options for learning opportunities, and the quality of the curriculum was fantastic.I would recommend this school to any person interested. It made me become a smarter, more open-minded, and well rounded person.

I really enjoyed my time at this university and had an overall positive experience. Being a person of color on any campus can have it's challenges but I felt there was a real sense of community here, amongst the university professors and students, and i had a lot of opportunities to make the best out of it.

Great place, good commuting capabilities. Matched with amazing professors, next food around, and a beautiful and calm surrounding towns. Price of living and campus costs allow umass to be one of the best bangs for the buck you can ask for. Highly recommend.

The psychology major at UMass is very big so you need to be down to explore options for career paths and specializations or minors on your own. I found a great specialization for the social work path I wanted to take in the future and was able to also get a certificate in social work, which made applying to grad schools easier.

UMass Amherst was an amazing school! Some people may feel intimidated by the size, but I found that it allowed for much more niche communities within the student population which made making friends really easy. I also had a really good experience with all of the professors and still keep in contact with some of them.

UMASS Amherst was the perfect school. It was large enough to have funding for great laboratory experiences and diverse class offerings. There were always mentors and tutors available, and I felt the courses were generally informative and well taught. The food options were excellent, as were the living conditions. It's a great value for the price.

The University of Massachusetts at Amherst provides a great education experience while allowing you to grow within the community. I learned a lot in the classroom, met numerous lifelong friends, and flourished in a safe environment. Compared to my high school friends, I felt more prepared to enter the workforce and begin a successful career thanks to the education I received.

UMass Amherst was a great place to go to school with a wide variety of different clubs, extracurriculars, majors, and degree types. There are many resources allowing students to find what they are really interested in and to pursue those topics to the fullest

UMass Amherst was a great school to attend to for four years. The environment was great and I felt that the classes were sufficiently challenging. However, the class sizes, and some professors, made the experience less enjoyable. It was sometimes hard to get into the classes you'd like and this caused a ripple effect throughout all four grades.
