Pros: It's an amazing applied graduate program that truly prepares me for a career in sport and performance psychology. Cons: The school is very expensive.

This program is pretty small, only about 15-20 students per year, which creates a very close knit network with colleagues and faculty.

This is a relatively new program and an exciting field to be going into! The Disaster Psych program blends together the clinical aspects of trauma care with a more program evaluative focus; the core faculty are very invested in the students and it is structured to give students real experience, outside of the classroom.

First, the location is unbelievable. Even though grad students are busy, we always make time for the mountains. The school is pretty expensive, but that because it is a high quality education with great professors. Each program is highly customizable, and students can focus on the issues and geographical areas that they are interested in.

My graduate program has mostly pros. The accessibility of the faculty, most importantly the career development center, is beyond anything I could hope for. This is a school who is with the student every step of the way offering the best support and an array of activities, groups, conferences and involvements.

This program is designed to be interdisciplinary. Make sure you are self-motivated to get through all the requirements. While my advisor is wonderful I do know that some other people have not had the experience I have had.

The program is very expensive, and, unfortunately, sometimes the classes turn out to be duds (although this is far from the norm). The alumni and administration of the school do have excellent connections with the professional world, so there are always interesting events taking place on campus.

Statistics courses, research courses, and cognate courses were challenging. Some of the counseling psychology courses could have been more challenging. Good opportunities to work with a variety of professors and choose your own path of specialization. Lots of opportunity for applied clinical work. Denver is beautiful, but the school is very expensive, even with scholarships and graduate assistantships.

Pros - beautiful city for those who love the outdoors. A great international studies program for those who don't want to live/study in the Washington, DC area. Great professors and staff. Cons- not as competitive as other international studies program. Expensive.

DU offers a competitive and well-structured program in a beautiful setting, with particularly good certificates and international educational opportunities.

DU is a strict school. They need more diversity and lower their overal costs

Pros: Intentionally stating and having students be non-competitive; staff is very supportive and knowledge in area with research and field experience, small classroom size, diverse faculty Cons: does not have a practicum/internship listing, not really a lot of funding for masters degree outside of loans,

At this point in my program I do not feel challenged, personally or academically. The only challenging part is dealing with the sheer amount of work assigned. That being said, the faculty and staff are amazing. They are knowledgeable about their subject area and dedicated to helping students excel in the program.
