The UAMS Graduate School's Health Promotion and Prevention Research (HPPR) doctoral program equips students with the necessary research skills to begin their independent research career post-graduation. The faculty are enthusiastic, knowledgable and attentive and will go above and beyond for their students. They often try and help you find post-docs or faculty appointments and highly encourage you to network with their colleagues while in the program; which often can set you up for success.

UAMS has been so beneficial for me. I had completed my associates degree in May 2024 and was able to enter in a bridge program to complete my bachelor's degree. I really appreciate the fact that I had the choice to choose how long my program would be. They offered 3, 4, and 5 semester options for their MLT to MLS bridge program. I chose the 3 semester option and was able to complete my degree quickly and elevate my career.

This program is very competitive but I'm happy I attended this school. It's very in depth and it prepares you for the real world of nursing. It is a privilege to apply for jobs and put that you graduated from UAMS. Will definitely apply to graduate school.

UAMS is a great school to attend for any program. The pharmacy program is definitely worth all of the hard work and effort it requires of you. There are always a few things one would change about any program but overall the staff is excellent and always willing to help in any way. They do their very best in preparing you. This was a very dedicated and at times intense program. It was very costly. The clinical part of the program was very helpful and focused on teaching you the skills you need to be successful. At the same time it was laid back and easy to learn from the instructors. It has gone mostly online while some classes are still on campus. The teachers are still always available to help you when necessary.

I was a student at UAMS for my BSN and returned to complete my MNSc. I love the faculty and their willingness to help us learn the material. The undergrad and graduate programs are very interactive (student-student and student-faculty). The college of nursing is also very involved with the community- there are fundraisers often and activities such as blood pressure checks for the homeless. The M.D. program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is a great program. The class size is just right with a strong bond between classmates. Each student is there to support and help others in times of need. The faculty are very up to date on the subjects they teach and allow us to work with faculty from all areas and specialties. I think that University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is a great school. There are many positives including great faculty, coursework that is very pertinent to my field, and it is affordable. Negatives include difficult parking situations and the campus can be hard to navigate.
