I completed the BSN-DNP program and graduated in 2024. I enjoyed my experience and feel that the academic standards were high, which is something I was looking for in a program. Overall, my experience with the school is positive. However, they did not assist with placement for clinicals. Next time, I may have looked for a program that assisted with placement. I was cold calling practices to see if they took NP students, which took a lot of time and effort. I luckily found a doctor who took lots of... Absolutely diappointed! That I came to this school, they do not care about your professional indoor academic development. A bunch of students crammed in the classroom professors, teaching, outdated, and or wrong information. The Steph are disorganized, rude and unprofessional. They are not there to help you. They are there to get paid. I did not know that this was a self taught program prior to attending. I came to this program with a masters already, I attended graduate school prior to this, and never experienced some of the things that I experienced here. Being a nurse for quite some time, you never expect to be treated like you’re a new nursing grad all over again. It absolutely blows my mind that the staff at Thomas Jefferson University collect a paycheck from the University and they don’t teach. If you want to be taught as an NP do not go to Thomas Jefferson, you’re gonna regret it. You will be stressed, confused and, the worst park about is your gonna pay them 20k to teach yourself.

Thomas Jefferson is a medium sized, private institution that works with students to provide them with the necessarily tools and resources to better prepare for a career. Through this university, I participated in several leadership programs that many universities do not provide and was able to constantly work with other students (within and outside my major) collaboratively. This is the absolute worst nursing program you can choose. THE WORST. Everyone from the administration to the staff and faculty in the college of nursing is beyond incompetent. No one cares about your personal success - for them, you are just one of the 100 students in the classroom. Majority of the professors can’t teach and some are blatantly incompetent about the material they are given to teach. They teach you outdated or wrong information. They are unprofessional. The Master's program for Occupational Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University is a time consuming and energy consuming program. With that being said, it is an incredible program. The faculty is extremely effective and values not only educating the students, but investing in our critical and innovative thinking skills. This program is emotionally and mentally draining, but you will leave it confident in your abilities.

The quality of education at Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing is of the lowest quality. Faculty are extremely unprofessional and quite honestly, not very bright. Students are treated like Kindergartners and being in the clinical setting with FNP students from other schools shows how unprepared and under educated we really are. Read More rates but if you do a little research, you quickly see that the advertised pass-rates are at least 10 years old. Furthermore, because of the extremely low quality of instruction most, if not all, students take a board review course which is what truly prepares them for passing, it has absolutely nothing to do with the instruction we receive.

Thomas Jefferson University is a great college. Me and my siblings all went to Thomas Jefferson University to obtain a nursing degree and rave about it. The quality of education was excellent and the professors really do care about all their students and want them to succeed. They doors are always open if you need help. Thomas Jefferson University provides an excellent experience both clinically and in the classroom. I received my bachelors in nursing and am currently pursuing a masters in nursing, all at Thomas Jefferson. I felt so passionate about the experience I received as an undergraduate that I felt it was the best option to obtain a masters from this institution as well. Thomas Jefferson University is an excellent school with so many resources. Its logo is "Health is All We Do," and it is very accurate. All majors and graduate programs are in the health sciences. It is very beneficial to have a hospital right on campus. Being in center city Philadelphia might bring about some concerns, in terms of safety, if unfamiliar with the area. Moving into on-campus housing has been a very safe environment. We have 24 hour desk service in the main lobby, and while walking around... Due to the rigorous amounts of school work and studying, it is important to be able to step away once and awhile and enjoy what the city has to offer. There are numerous activities to participate in to briefly escape from the massive to-do list waiting for you to complete. It is certainly not impossible to have a social life, but it is solely up to the individual to make that happen otherwise school work can easily take over. The material is quite challenging, but with time management, not getting overwhelmed and being productive everything can get accomplished. The faculty is quite diverse in the Physical Therapy Department, so we can learn from the various areas in our future profession. Being in the DPT, I have nothing but positive things to say about my overall class, faculty and Thomas Jefferson as a whole.

This school is great! I thoroughly enjoy the campus facilities (including the library), faculty assistance, classes, flexibility in scheduling, 2+2 academic calendar, and center city Philadelphia itself. I spend lots of time in local coffee shops with study groups. Everyone is super friendly and eager to help each other out. This is not a cut-throat environment like at some other medical schools.
