This school is a money grubbing bully. I didn't get any of what was promised. I was treated badly and taken advantage of. My school location was closed and the students were cast aside and our needs were ignores. Our education was rushed and we were bullied into leaving and transferring. I had a handful of good professors but the school as a hole is horrible and way over prices. Please don't go here.

I graduated last year; I gain no experience or knowledge what so ever. Interior designers companies expected you to learn something from school. Believe me; you wouldn't learn other than art and colors. Mimumem of CAD but you won't learn how to think like a designer, buiding CODs, walls, textiles. ....

The students at the school are great. It is a very small school with no extra curricular activities. The staff is not great. They are not always helpful and direct a lot of independent work with little guidance. Overall I would recommend people to go to an established schools and not a private school.

It was an okay college for what it was. I found it impossible to make friends or feel any connections with the college. I didn't feel any help or guidance was given with helping you figure out what direction to take or if you were good. I very easily ignored them. They didn't care or go after me at all. I finished in like 2 1/2 years which is almost what you have to do even if you want to go slower it's very hard to do by the set up.

The art institutes are a huge scam. You do not need a degree in this field to work in it. Ai required me to retake things like english 100,that I had already passed with an A at another college. The campus based classes are just as bad with transfer credit issues they had meets about my education without my knowledge or presence, as if I was a child. The teachers are awful, either they blatantly hate teaching and don't care if you know it, or they hate it but try to fake it. Do not waste your money... Read More

If I could give this no stars, ever, I would. They are overbearing in ways. They call you all day everyday to "talk" for several hours about nothing. I removed my phone numbers and they were pissed and never stop telling me so. The team you're given to help you through is an uneducated group who has no information for you about anything. They claim they never heard from you; they actually just ignore your emails for about 6 months then claim they were busy. The instructors are hardly knowledgeable.... Read More

The classes and instructors are excellent and they really care about your success. But the price is ridiculous. Don't spent 90,000 getting a BA unless someone else is paying for it (VA, employer, etc). Art degrees generally don't pay very much so it's a bad investment. The only reason I'm going to this school is because I'm getting VA Voc Rehab and they are paying for 100% of it, including books. But I will admit, I LOVE the classes, they are very good and fun. There aren't any filler classes and... Read More

I loved going to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Unfortunately I was one of those students who transcended right out of high school and I really didn't take college very seriously. I am going back to school now for my MBA and I'm incredibly nervous. The Instructors at AIP and the Advisors were amazing! Things changed drastically after the de-expansion if you will. It was a little depressing. A lot of the staff was either relocated or let go. Major chunks of the building were empty and it did change... Read More

Interior Design always intrigued me, and I felt the degree would be a practical application for my art. Initial costs were reasonable for the first year with significant scholarships and grants. Each year tuition increased dramatically and "amazingly" scholarships no longer could aid me during my entire senior year (even with all A's). There came a time I had to choose to leave with debt and no degree OR stay and finish the degree with more debt. Teachers were disassociated from students. Work load... Read More
