In addition to academics, Suffolk University offers great student resources, such as academic advising, career services, tutoring, and access to modern learning facilities. These resources facilitated easy tracking of academic performance and career exploration. Diversity, collaboration, and innovation are also encouraged by the campus culture. I got a chance to communicate with students of various backgrounds, which helped me widen my perspective and improve my communication and teamwork skills.
The university also has a lot of extracurricular activities, student organizations, and networking opportunities that can assist students in developing leadership skills and professional networking. These experiences have helped me to grow and gain confidence as a person.
In general, my experience at Suffolk University contributed to the development of my academic background and professional outlook. I learned new important things, acquired the ability to think critically, and established long-term relationships. I believe the university adequately prepared me for my professional life. I would strongly recommend this university to anyone who wants a well-rounded, supportive and forward-thinking educational experience.

I initially chose to attend Suffolk University because of the central Boston location, this is a critical selling point for the school and one that they heavily lean into. I feel that being in a city gives a student greater access to employment and networking opportunities, the ability to build their cultural acumen, and the opportunity to thrive independently as a young adult. Read More feel that the foundational curriculum helped prepare me for a role in the business world. I do wish the school focused more on experiential learning opportunities instead of heavy reliance on text and lectures. Overall I enjoyed my professors, most of them still worked in the industry and it was helpful to get their take on how to use strategies and lessons to solve real-world business issues. I also enjoyed the smaller class sizes, it made getting to know classmates, professors, and staying engaged much easier. Students that rely heavily on the career services office as a method of finding post-graduation employment, probably wont have much success at Suffolk, they dont do a great job of providing visibility to jobs or hosting major career fairs. However, those that fully lean into the location will likely be able to easily obtain employment. I loved that I could easily learn about any function or any company by simply walking out my door and meeting someone for coffee, or setting up an informational interview The ability to make professional connections were endless, but it was heavily dependent on the student and their determination and motivation to go out to find connections. Living in Boston I took advantage of pursuing a total of 4 internships, which gave me critical professional work experience both during summers and the school year, an advantage that students in a major city have over the larger undergrad population, however, most of these internships were obtained through my own methods vs school-sponsored activities. Suffolk is located in the center of Boston, a great spot with access to many interesting cultural events and forms of entertainment. I think the school does a nice job in creating visibility to what these events are and even provides tickets or means to save some money by pursuing these events. However, the school itself is missing a community feel or unique events for students to participate in. Because of the location and the fact that Room & Board is only provided to Freshmen and Sophomores, most students end up residing all over the city, therefore with a large number of students commuting there is a lack of cohesive school-wide pride. I enjoyed my time at Suffolk University, although I do feel like a majority of the opportunities I had were a result of living in a great American city versus facilitated by the University. If you are someone who is self-motivated and determined and looking to live in Boston, this is a great school for you, but if you are looking for heavy guidance I would recommend you look at another school.

My school could have done more to engage with students who commuted and could not afford to live on-campus. As a commuter, I felt very ostracized from the rest of the student population. Many times, events were geared for dorm-room only, and they provided no means of support for commuters to get there or home. Additionally, there were no dedicated spaces for commuters on-campus at the time; I had to take meals in the park or in cafes in-between classes. I hope that the school is able to work towards... Suffolk shares libraries and facilities with Harvard University and therefore has a wealth of resources for its students. The faculty is wonderful, plus the proximity to the State House and internships or work-study opportunities is unmatched. The campus is pulsing with life and history as it surrounds the Boston Common and downtown life. As an online MBA student who also works full time, Suffolk University was the best option for me. The class times were accommodating and the faculty had great work experience that they used throughout the semesters in the classrooms to give real-life examples. The classrooms sizes were just right in order to have class participation that was valuable to my learning and there was diversity in ages and work experience in my classmates that allowed for fruitful conversation that added to the discussions.... Suffolk University is a great school, especially for those looking for a commuter school that has small classroom sizes and a small campus that can provide a more close and enriching experience with your professors and peers. Suffolk University is ideally located in the middle of Downtown Boston. A city that is constantly hustling and bustling but still keeps in touch with its proud place in history. Although dorms on campus is rare, you will find plenty of areas with affordable apartments. The classes are small, so the professor to student ratio is ideal for anyone who needs extra help in class. You can easily learn the cultures of other nations simply by making new friends. But if you want to take a step further, the study abroad programs offered at Suffolk are plentiful. There is even a campus in Madrid, Spain where you can stay for a semester, or even an entire year. Some of the classes may feel a bit old-fashioned and like you aren't learning anything new, but new professors are always joining Suffolk, so maybe new classes will be added too. The school also built a new building, so the college has a more small campus feel. That way, you won't have to walk three blocks to your next class like I did.
