I a little more than halfway through the MFA in Creative Writing program and I am really enjoying it. My professors have been great; all have been very nice and their responses and critiques are prompt and thoughtful. I like the video class discussions and feel like I get to know the other people in the class. My wife had a very positive experience with the MA in English and Creative Writing as well. We're both public school teachers and appreciate the excellent organization of the courses and the... Read More

The program was fun and I learned a good deal. Although, It did not feel like the most rigorous program out there. The career services have been a complete joke, though. Frequent unanswered emails and have had to repeat myself to counselors over and over again.

This program is satisfactory if you want something light, but it is not an academic experience. It is manufactured, and the rubrics are set so that you have to really not complete the work in order to do poorly. There is plenty of work to complete, but the faculty and administration do not treat you like a graduate student; it is much like being a lower level student. If you are serious about this degree, look elsewhere. If you are just having fun, this is for you.

If you don't answer, it will constantly ring every day for as long as you allow it. But what get me is, I was in a Master's program and attended in person at University of New Orleans. I found... I took a class in the Graduate Creative Writing Program that was great. I wanted to take another class before switching to the official degree program. The Coursework Only Representatives were definitely not friendly and totally turned me off from pursuing the degree program unfortunately.

I really like this college. I had a rough start due to issues in my personal life. After starting my first class, I got very sick and had to withdraw. Then i decided to change my mind about my major. Many universities would make you apply all over again for a new graduate program, you usually can't just change majors like you can with undergrad. I was delighted that they let me simply change into the new program! Unfortunately a string of unfortunate events occurred in my life which really screwed... Read More
