South was the worst!! Please don't spend your money here. Admin is horrible and unorganized, financial aid even worse. I ended up changing my nursing to admin. because it was just a horrible experience for me. I did graduate, and with loans from Sallie Mae, etc. I owe $140,000 .

DO NOT ATTEND THIS UNIVERSITY. I was sweet-talked into enrolling in the BSN. I was told ALL of my credits DISCUSSED before enrollment were APPROVED and that I just needed to take a couple of more classes. After enrolling, they said to me that I needed to take more classes; in which case you have no option. Tried contacting counselorsreferred me to registrarsreferred me to director of the on and so on, I did not get any help or resolution. My tuition for two classes was over $4,000, and... Read More

I think South is a great school. I completed my BSN with them, each instructor was very professional. I can agree, its overwhelming, classes arent designed for the working family. HOWEVER, they were very understanding and sensitive to my daughters illness. They worked with me during her hospitalization , chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant.

I am applying for grants because; the further you go in your education, the less money you are eligible for, being a single parent of three, makes it financially straining to even attempt at paying out of pocket. One of the reasons I would like to obtain my Masters Degree is to Earn More Money. We all want to find ways to make more money and it is a proven fact that the higher your degree level the higher your salary. On average employees with a masters degree will earn over $10,000 more each year... Read More

South University is a bad college. They charge too much fees. The staff are not supportive of their student. I have a friend graduate with over $90,000 loan. It is not worth it. There pass rate is not excellent. The advisors will lie to you about the cost of the program to get you started, and once you start, you will release the underline high cost. Many student will take the prerequisite but when they applied to the nursing program, they will not be accepted.

Please do your research. I did but I ignored it thinking people take to the sites to complain. I was scammed and manipulated. They added on 13 classes when I was almost done. my new school is amazing and the experience is so different. They have been sued to the U.S. Department of justice research please before you make the same mistake and loose a year or are scammed another way!

I have had great guidance and financial counselors. The instructors have been supportive in the program. I would encourage anyone who has an Associate Degree and wants to continue to get there BSN to attend South University. The only down fall the at graduation in Savannah. They did not have everything prepared for each person like a packet with cords according to an individuals GPA, Honor Society and Presidental Honors. A person had to ask about the different cords to make sure they had everything... Read More
