I had a very poor experience with my schooling at South College. The cost for my education was far too much. The Financial Aid department refused to help me. The new teachers had years of experience in the field with little to no experience being teachers.

This school is literally a joke. They let you know everything last minute until things are due that day. They always try to fail you even though your score is an 80%. No communication with your loans and with advisors and the advisors are extremely rude. would not recommend to anyone if I can give 0 stars I would.

I am onto my fourth class in my DBA program. As an online student, I find it useful that my advisor and I speak every week, if only for a few minutes to catch up. I chose South College due to it's lower cost compared to other DBA programs and because I would not have to travel out of town for in person residencies. My particular program is self paced, though we do have to complete a minimum amount of work in a semester. I work and read very fast so this works best for me. I am at the tail end of... Read More

They set you up for failure. There class teachings are not based off the ATI information needed to graduate. Would have better success rates if our ATI did not count in our exam grades. It’s not fair for our cohort that is almost done finishing and they add 3rd class in our quarter and make it harder than it already was on top of now we have to maintain a level 2 on our proctors but no study information to really help us.

I received a phone from this school with high hopes, the over the phone conversation was very convincing and persuasive. Speaking to the school representative I requested to have on campus classes and was told that could happen. The day I go to the school for enrollment I was told that I wouldn’t be doing classes online. I specifically requested to have classes on the campus not online. I still signed up for these classes going back-and-forth with myself after doing it made me feel like I shouldn’t... Read More

Disappointed with the Lack of Support in the Nursing Program/ Disappointing Experience with the Nursing Program
The nursing program at South College lacks adequate student support and transparency. Communication is poor, and some instructors are unwilling to provide clarification or review material. I would not recommend this program to students who need structure, fairness, or academic guidance.

I had an excellent experience with Mr. Crawford my financial aid advisors. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and supportive throughout the entire process. Every question was answered clearly, and he helped me tremendously through the process.

My experience at South College has been frustrating and disappointing. One of the most challenging aspects has been the constant contradiction among instructors. Each instructor seems to have their own interpretation of course requirements and expectations, leaving students confused and unsure of how to succeed. Instead of receiving support and guidance, students are often met with vague responses and inconsistent information.
There is a serious lack of organization across departments, and it often... Read More
For anyone considering South College, I would strongly recommend exploring other institutions that prioritize student success, offer clear guidance, and maintain a consistent standard across their faculty. This has not been the positive educational experience I was hoping for.

Do not enroll in this program due to false information and deceptive practices. I was misrepresented as to the program's length, and I cannot recommend this institution to anyone. I feel like my concerns are not being addressed by the administrators of the program.

Unethical, disorganized, constant change in faculty and policies. Waste of time and money. You can get through the coursework quickly with lots of complaining due to broken promises but the dissertation is a game to them and their zero tolerance AI policy means that even if they watch you type it and it gets falsely flagged, you have to redo it over and over again. They have no graduation date and zero respect for students.

After attending South College in Atlanta, I am unimpressed. It came recommended to me by a previous school counselor while I was obtaining my Associate Degree in Medical Assisting. I feel as if the school was very ill-prepared. I did all of my prerequisites online, which is not a big deal. But the teachers were very unavailable unless they were telling you that they were giving you a failing grade. It was rather unhelpful. The student counselors are even worse. Any time I would call I would get their... Read More

The staff at this college is very supportive and encouraging. There are many resources for students to boost there skills. South College has quarters rather than semesters and that took some time for me to adjust to. The accounting classes are fun but difficult. My advice to anyone thinking about going in to the accounting classes at South College is to go for it. Believe in yourself and do your best.

South College is one of the best Business Colleges in Knoxville, TN. According to my SWAT Analysis, I found out that it provides small classes in compare to University of Tennessee, so students can get more attention and have a space to engage in strategic discussion. Whereas in University of Tennessee, they have average classes of 80 to 150 students which will make difficult for students to have one on one conversation. they are very nice when you visit the school and start the application process. But when you start the college, they are not very helpful. Its also a private university, therefore, the cost of attendance is high. The professors are recent graduates, therefore, when they gain experience; they leave the school to a better school and are replaced with new professors.

South college has a 3 year (accelerated) PharmD program. The school of pharmacy is actually at a satellite building away from the main campus along with the PA and nursing students. The teachers are amazing and are genuinely interested in your education and bettering the students. Many of the professors also have a PharmD degree and cater the courses to what you will need to know in practice. The class size is usually around 70-80 which makes for a small, tight knit class. Parking is great since... Read More

Having an online program works well with my current work schedule and family life. Tuition cost played a major part in my decision to choose this school. I did have a few instructors who did not contribute much to my online learning, but overall I have been impressed with the faculty and program. If I had to do anything different, I would choose a local program so that I could have a hands-on experience for the advanced health and physical assessment course.
