I’ll start with saying that in 2019, the government put out that all students affected by classes switching to online that couldn’t be taken in person anymore would not effect BAH rates. Saint Leo closed it’s satellite campuses without informing veterans that they were not eligible for this law because Saint Leo closed down our campuses for financial reasons, not Covid reasons, and hid it from us so that we wouldn’t transfer. Second; it’s been two years since I have had a conversation with a professor.... Read More

I would not recommend this school to anyone who cares about their grades and GPA. I worked my butt off to get Deans List mainly every term. If you google any others schools Honors section you will find REASONABLE GPAs for Honor Status. This is how Saint Leo gives out it's Honors: Summa cum laude: 3.95 and above Magna cum laude: 3.85 and above Cum laude: 3.65 and above Here is what most other schools give out: a) Those students who maintain an adjusted GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 will receive recognition... Pros: The academic program here is great. It just needs a few improvements. If you're a student who cares less about partying, then this school is right for you. Cons: The staff on campus is rude and unprofessional. - Contrary to what your admission's counselor told you, once you attend SLU, you'll get little to no support. If you're not in a certain organization/club or even of a certain status around campus, you aren't treated as fairly. - Most professors are biased, and your grades might be affected... Read More

Saint Leo University is not for anyone who has a full time job with children. This school is very demanding and you must put in time and effort to pass your courses. I am a full time mom/wife/student and I work a full time job. This was the most stressful situation for me. There are no breaks unless you decide to take a(n) 8 week break, which will keep you from graduation on time. You will be stressed, mentally and physically. Mothers and/or Fathers. Please choose another University that take in... Read More

Do NOT attend this school! It is highly unorganized, the instructors are rude and refuse to help in any way. I mad straight one hundreds the entire semester except for one assignment I forgot to submit I made a 0 on and failed the entire class. The resources this school provides are next to none. There are no lectures or instructor insights on the topics if the assignments. They basically give you a topic and an assignment and tell you to google it. Not to mention the tuition prices are insane especially... Read More

I have to say that St. Leo University is a serious college. I took classes while I was still on active duty. Sometimes when I went to some of my advanced NCO courses, fellow soldiers would see that I was studying during breaks. More than one said that they stopped going to St Leo because it was "serious". In other words, it wasn't just for signing up, paying your fees and getting an easy grade; definitely not a "diploma mill". If you take your academics seriously, definitely attend. I am proud to... Saint Leo University was the biggest nightmare and scandal of them all. I have attended GCU and 2 other community colleges in the past and never have I had such a poor experience. The Financial Aid representatives were disgraceful. I was told many different stories by many different representatives. I was told one thing, and then forced to do another. They lost my paperwork, so I had to expedite all my paperwork again, at my expense. I paid nearly $100 in expedited shipping, to fix their mistake.... Read More

I had a great experience with St Leo online learning. I was on AD when I obtained my degree and I had very understanding instructors. There was maybe one or two teachers that weren't as responsive as I would like. However; overall I enjoyed my time as a student there. I'm now enrolled for my masters program with them.

I took most of my classes online and some on campus. I can honesty say attending on campus is a lot better than endless emails, some take longer to respond. than others. My adviser stop contacting me as soon as she realized I didn't need to much assistant but, when I needed her, it was like pulling tooth to get her to call me back. I enjoyed my experience at SLU. The only downside is the financial aid department, they suck!

I found the online courses to be more challenging and rewarding than most of the classes I did face to face in other institutions. The professors were very knowledgeable and helpful. Be forewarned, don't think you will coast through this. It is a lot of work. I flew in from Texas for the COL's graduation ceremony. I was surrounded by members of the military or their spouses who were furthering their education. The reception held afterwards by the COL was a nice touch with live music, food and fellowship... I love St. Leo because my adviser calls me all the time to see if I need help or just to let me know I was doing a great job. If I got a low score or missed turning in something she called. I was running out of funds for books and she offered to find me cheap books. The teachers were right on and helpful. I went to Rasmussen before and they never called me for anything ever! They are friendly and actually care about me and not my money.
