I went to RIT with the intention of going into a science based field and after graduating I wasn't sure what I wanted to do anymore. The course work was very rigorous, and definitely think I came out of school with a strong understanding of the field and the type of work that is done in the field. I ended up getting a position as a clinical microbiologist out of school, and do think my degree put me in a good position to obtain this position. However, I don't think the amount of money and effort... Read More

RIT was a great experience for me personally. They did a great job at inspiring me as a creative and showing me the things that I needed to apply in my own time in order to succeed. I do think that the college itself was most impactful due to the others who went there as well. Their minds all directly uplifted my experience with the college.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at RIT. The vast majority of my professors were great proctors, and those who were not were distinct outliers. There were a variety of courses offered, and I found campus resources, both for education and entertainment, to be of good quality and diversity.

My college was an incredible, beautiful campus. The student environment was an accepting, supportive, and welcoming body with various clubs, sports and opportunities to become involved in. Endless resources offered to students that range from focusing on academics, mental health, tutoring, career support, and many others. The co-op program was unique and offered work experience that I believe to be so important for an individuals understanding of their career path. I believe it was a place in which... Read More

RIT is a great school for those who are serious about studying their chosen major. I enjoyed the fast-paced nature of the courses and availability of options for different topics. The professors are very helpful and often have open office hours to drop by and discuss coursework. I recommend working with your academic advisor to help select the best path for the most enjoyable experience. One thing I wish I would have one is network more and be more social; it is often mentioned that a lot of students... Read More

Please don’t go here. It’s a waste of money. Many of the professors don’t know what they’re doing - don’t know how to make learning materials or how to answer questions. They don’t accommodate their autistic students properly. They won’t help you find a job. This place is horrible. Worst mistake of my life.

I didn’t expect to enjoy my time as much as I did at RIT. The school is incredible in every area like academia, social life, and especially the co-op system. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for my paid internships which propelled me into my career.

Getting a BFA in Graphic Design from RIT is the best choice I've made. I loved the program - although challenging and intense, it was extremely fulfilling to achieve a degree from here. It continues to pay off financially. I highly recommend this program at RIT.

I had an amazing time here at RIT. The community is absolutely amazing and really made me feel like home. Being a psychology major at a tech school can be challenging, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I had a real interest in engineering and technology, which made RIT the perfect fit for me. I was able to take various classes outside of the psychology department, and even joined Hot Wheelz (the only all female formula team in the country). I am also part of the LGBTQ+ community and I am... Read More

It is a big school, but each department was small and class sizes were reasonable. Professors still got to know you despite the overall size. It is also close to many stores, but not in the heart of the city.

Degree: MBA
I was part of the Fast Track MBA program. It was an intensive one year program which covered all the core classes during the summer in 2 week blocks and then continued as normal for the more advanced courses. One of the best parts of the curriculum was that it included a trip to Prague where we toured various businesses to see how they are run.

No matter how many reviews you read about schools and colleges, it all boils down to you. How much you are passionate and willing to dedicate yourself to a major will help you decide on where and what you want to do. It all depends on you and how you decide to make out of it. To me, RIT was the one. Attending RIT for BFA in Visual Media Photography was one of my best decision. It had the best flexibility of different courses that I could take. It helped me be able to have a sample taste of different... Read More

Ever since I walked through those doors, I felt liberated. I cannot believe how much support, guidance, and love all the staff regulated to me on a daily basis. When I wanted to quit, someone wasn't too far to lift me back up again. I came in wanting to excel in the corporate world, and came out excelling in both the corporate world and my personal life. I recommend this school to any and every student looking to succeed in life. You want to change your world for the better? This is the place!
