I feel that the academic rigor of the program compels me to study without causing too much concern over my GPA or the letter grade I receive in a course. I feel that the material we are learning is mostly useful in clinical practice and that the main goal of the academic environment focuses on learning and understanding the material instead of earning a certain grade. The academic rigor and environment as I explained are definitely pros. Most of my cons have to do with the surrounding area, for instance safety and transportation, and also maybe student diversity.

My decision to attend the DPT program at ODU was based on my professional experiences while working in a outpatient PT clinic. ODU DPT graduates had a reputation of being highly competent and preferential for hire compared to other recent graduates. As a second year student, I find the program to be very challenging however, highly rewarding.
