It was a great school that provided lots of resources. Perfect for anyone who has a family. There is plenty of opportunity to take online classes if needed. The best part of the program is the internship. They provide hours in the site of choice which gears you up for the real world practice. If it wasnt so expensive then it would be a perfect school.

NSU is by-far the most accommodating school you'll ever have the pleasure of attending. The faculty and staff seem as though they have a vested personal interest in your learning and success. Whilst enrolled, I was given several opportunities to enhance my experience, including: individualized research projects, lab projects, poster presentations, and was even asked to travel to represent our research at the 52nd Annual Psychonomics Society. This is an exceptional university. I am proud to be an... Read More

Nova Southeastern University is a great school to attend for graduate studies. Faculty and staff are very helpful and go above and beyond to ensure that all your needs are met as a student. The program I completed, Masters of Science in Psychology, has greatly assisted me in advancing in the field. I received multiple job offers once I added the education to my resume. Nova Southeastern University is a school that is recognized by most employers in my region.

I enjoyed going to Nova Southeastern University. I found the campus life inviting and I liked the education I received. The teachers were knowledgeable and willing to help us. They also worked to make sure we understood the material and that we had access to resources that would help us.

This degree program is a great choice for anyone wanting to purse a PsyD. They were willing to work with my deployment to help me take military leave and then made the transition back into school easier. The professors are very passionate about what they are teaching and make the classes interesting.

I am currently in the Clinical Psychology program at Nova Southeastern University. The professors at the institution are extremely brilliant and helpful in all of the students endeavors. I do wish there was more academic competitiveness and social life available at this program, but the extracurricular and opportunities available are unlike any other.

The Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at Nova Southeastern University is overall an amazing program. I am about to start my second year and had an incredible first year in the program. I enjoyed all of my classes and found them to be engaging and very beneficial to my future career as a Clinical Psychologist. I also had the opportunity to travel with a professor and seven other students to Swaziland, a small country in South Africa, on a humanitarian trip to provide counseling and services to impoverished... Overall, the Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University's Center for Psychological Studies is an amazing program. It is interesting because many of the pros of the program are also its cons, and vice versa. For example the Psy.D. program is very large compared to other Psy.D. programs. This gives students an opportunity to interact and study with a very diverse population and encourages us to advocate for ourselves if we need help from a professor or other faculty member. However,... Read More

Overall this graduate program was competitive and the rigor and workload was comparable with the components of the desired field of study. In addition many staff members and official staff were helpful and easy to get a hold of. Unfortunately, this was not the case with all staff members. Many professors left no contact information at all or were unavailable during student availability hours.

It is a very expensive graduate program but I feel like I am getting a great education. The courses even online are engaging and challenging. Some I would say more challenging than my in person undergrad courses.

A major pro to my program is online class offering. Online classes offer me the accessibility for flexibility. A con is finding someone to help with guidance questions. I'm not sure if it is because it a fairly new program but it is definitely an opportunity they can work on.

Nova Southeastern University has been the best decision I could make in completing my doctorate. The faculty in the program are very supportive and hands on in their teaching approach. The work load is reasonable and assistance is readily available. The campus is very clean and beautiful. Cons associated with attending Nova solely fall under the cost to attend the institution. As a doctoral student in the Psy. D program, it is very expensive and financial assistance (aside from loans) are hard to... Read More

Pros- My graduate program offers a range of classes and concentrations that are really tailored to the interests and passions of the students. The professors are extremely helpful and understanding concerning class or program questions. The class sizes are very small, which offers a more hands on form of learning. I also appreciate the amount of resources available to graduate students that make studying and learning easier; like the student studying center and computer lab where students can use... Read More

The pros about this graduate program is that it fosters an environment where students are trained by nationally renowned professionals. Training builds upon the crucial base of scientific knowledge and develops the skills necessary for professional competence in the field of psychology. The cons about the program would be the costs, this is a private university and tuition is very expensive.

Some of the pros in my graduate program is that the students benefit from having the expertise of full-time faculty whose primary interests and expertise are in the field of school psychology. The courses are strictly taught by professors and not teacher aides of any kind. Graduate students in the program will have the opportunity to link theory to practice by observing, consulting, assessing, and intervening with children, teachers, and parents at the school's Mailman Segal Center (MSC) for Human... The only problems experienced were with two professors who did not communicate well; for my first class and my last class. It would have been ideal to have a professor from my major area to guide my field-based research project and paper.
