Honestly; I did my research for my Masters; and made the mistake with going with Northwest Missouri State. The is no Support for Online Students, none. Student on-campus will get preferred treatment every single time. I had an problem with one of the Grad student in my group and it was a bloody nightmare; ended up getting a low grade, even though I did all the work. And if you reach out to get assistance; you are shunned and given a bunch of excuses; they are only hoping you give up. I regret ever... Read More

My college experience was wonderful! I was very involved and it led me to the career field I am in (higher education). I created so many wonderful memories, made great friendships, and loved my classes!

Every professor I had was willing and excited to get to know me and help me succeed personally. They are very friendly especially in their office hours. This does not mean that they won't push you. The professors at Northwest will expect a lot from you and push you harder than you might like. This push allows you to grow as a person as I have grown a lot from being a part of this college.

I really enjoyed getting to know the faculty and staff at Northwest. They are very genuine and are there to help you and not just research like at some universities. Being a mathematics major gives you great flexibility for electives in other stem fields as well.

The pros are that all of the faculty and staff are extremely helpful with everything, they're always able and willing to assist you with anything. The only con is that it's a very small town, you have to drive about 45 minutes to do any shopping.

Northwest is an amazing university. The faculty is one in a million, you honestly couldn't ask for more. Finally, when I went to apply for my current job as an educator, the superintendent asked me if I knew why they preferred to hire Northwest graduates. Such a reputable college.

I am really enjoying the masters in reading program at NWMSU. The faculty and professors are so friendly and always willing to help. The coursework is manageable for those with full time jobs and the quality of education is phenomenal! The largest con of this graduate program is that NWMSU does not have a lot of financial aid available for their graduate students.

Graduate Assistantships and the low cost of living make the financial burden almost non-existent.
