joke of a school. They display your name on virtual commencement and then email you a week later saying you didn’t graduate. Avoid at all costs. Every teacher I had through my 4 years failed to provide me adequate instructions and most just seem like they want to get through the semester. They don’t care about your they care about money. Biggest regret of my life going here

I attended NAU online while working 12 hour days to support my family. NAU online's flexible scheduling made it easy to study while working. The classes and professors were supportive of me, and they also provided me lots of resources for post-graduation.

I loved the university I attended for my undergraduate degree. It was not a huge university so that it was not overwhelming, but it was big enough to meet new people and attend fun events. There is decent transportation to get you around the school for your classes, and the class sizes are fairly good. First year 101 classes can be fairly big, but afterwards it gets to be about high school sized classes so that you actually get to know your professor and your classmates which is nice. As far as the... Read More

NAU has a great community. I was a transfer student from Santa Barbara City College. I traded the beach for the mountains and it was amazing. Since I was a transfer, it was a little bit difficult to make friends. It became easier once I started having smaller class sizes and started focussing on my major. Although the school seems big, the town is very small. By the time I was a junior, I pretty much knew at least one person in every class. I never had a problem getting into the classes I needed.... Attending Northern Arizona University is great over all! The school is constantly improving and growing and full of great students and activities too! One of the best parts was that tuition was locked in for your first four years of attendance. I made some of the best friendships of my life there. I never had any issues with academic advising or any professors. Of course, always read the professor reviews first when you can. At the very minimum, if you're willing to put in the time and work, you... Read More

Northern Arizona University (NAU) is a beautiful campus that is situated on a mountain at 7,000 feet! The campus provides an experience that is hard to find elsewhere. Meaning, anyone can go hiking, skiing, exploring, and swimming in the nearby rivers and lakes all day. The education at NAU is constantly improving and the professors and staff are dedicated to their students' success. I was able to ask any question about classes, graduate school, research opportunities, etc. and they would always... Read More

Northern Arizona University has some of the most wonderful teachers that really care about their students. I have never been in an environment as amazing as an NAU Psychology classroom. I always felt like my voice was heard and that what I had to say was important to both the students and the instructor. I took many interesting classes, such as Forensic Archaeology, Behavior of Animals, Group Behavior, the Psychology of Terrorism, etc. There is nothing like NAU.

I thoroughly enjoyed attending NAU and living on campus. I lived in Tinsely Hall which was one of the best dorms on campus. I made a lot of good friends and those friendships helped me grow as an adult. The curriculum at NAU was great. I loved all of my teachers and learned a vast amount from them. I enjoyed Flagstaff very much and may decide to move there one day. My father, may he rest in peace, also loved Flagstaff.

The psychology program is one of the most personal programs I have ever encountered. The teachers genuinely care about their students and desire to see them grow. They have many opportunities such as internships and research opportunities that will prepare each person for the future. The psychology program is geared toward helping each person know where their places are in the field. I personally had the opportunity to take part in these research and internship opportunities and realized the depth... Read More

This university is horrible. They treat you horrible, especially when you have financial issues. That is all I have to say about that. They don't allow you to sign up for classes or housing when you previously have holds on your account, even if you get the hold taken down.

Northern Arizona University is nestled in the beautiful mountain town of Flagstaff. Not only do you get education from amazing, passionate teachers but you also get the scenic beauty and commandery of the Flagstaff community. You get the excitement, spirit, and experiences of a bigger college but the small class sizes and one on one experiences with teachers that are valued in education. There are many resources, programs, and organizations to fit any needs or wants you may have. Overall, NAU is... Read More

I found Northern Arizona University to be an undervalued school. It is located in the small town of Flagstaff, Arizona less than 2 hours away from Phoenix, Arizona. I appreciated the small school environment and the assistance I could find in the writing and math centers when I wanted someone to review my work. NAU attracts a medley of personalities to its campus. I enjoyed the cold weather and snow storms that make it to this little campus each winter. I found this small, liberal arts school to... I loved this college for the college experience, however when actually applying to medical schools this did not make the list for impressive colleges.

I love the campus and Flagstaff. I enjoyed my time there. I wish I'd lived on campus though. I feel like i would have been more involved and made more friends. I'm still good friends with my roommates and several friends from NAU.

Northern Arizona University has a great social sciences department. My major was psychology and my minor was sociology. Almost every professor I had was engaging and genuinely cared about the students success. I worked hard to earn a 4.0 GPA but it wasn't an impossible work load. The campus is beautiful, nestled in the tall pines of northern Arizona. It is only a 2 hour drive from Sky Harbor Airport and metropolitan Phoenix. I took advantage of a summer study abroad program that was faculty lead... Read More
