Being 6 years out of college, I’m super relieved that I went to and graduated from NJIT. I met so many smart people that inspired me to grow. Developed so many relationships where I felt safe and at home. The college also had many opportunities to stand out, learn, and network with great companies. It’s also one train away from NY which made it easier to seek other additional opportunities. The location was Newark, but honestly I had such a great time where that didn’t even matter. Just dont be dumb... Read More

The hybrid computer science master's degree option was incredibly beneficial to my education and career. I was able to get the full online and traditional educational experience by studying online and taking exams on campus. I'm so glad NJIT offered this program and feel like the education was actually more difficult and fulfilling than just the traditional experience.

Very well-rounded curriculum for IT. I benefitted a lot. The Information Technology (IT) program at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is widely recognized for its strong balance between technical depth and practical, career-oriented learning. As a polytechnic university, NJIT places heavy emphasis on hands-on skills, real-world projects, and industry alignment, which makes the IT major particularly robust.

I am attending the Engineering Graduate program. The program is very poor. Courses were easy & assignment were light. Not much challenge. Almost all midterms & exams did not match the lecture slides or even the book! The midterms & exams made up a huge portion of your grade. Thank god some professors make is open books & notes. Otherwise, it's impossible to pass! Professors were very poor at teaching & hardly responsive. Some professors were decent at responding & teaching. They don't seem to care... Read More

The following is my experience. I have been in the civil engineering field for 20 years. My partner and I recently started our own firm. We wanted to offer transportation engineering. I needed to learn how to prepare traffic impact studies, learn the software used in todays practice, and learn the methodology behind the art of transportation engineering. I took two of the ten courses. The first professor I needed to listen to the audio recordings more than once to understand what he was teaching.... Read More

Great school with enough teachers and resources to help you learn and achieve your degree. In the middle the city and everything is very easy to get to. Based on experience the teachers are there for you all the time in terms of need. Very diverse school. With many people from Asia and India.

Overall NJIT is very good school. Course availability during the summer section and online courses. They have excellent design classes and the professor are helpful where they sure you learn the course. I think they should have an FE course for the student engineers to help them pass the exam.

OK school with decent engineering equipment. It has a first class clean room. The school location isn't great, the school's surroundings seem really dangerous.

College was stressful and exciting all at the same time. I had many life experiences and met a lot of people that I still keep in touch with today. I wish I could go back and do it all over again.

The teachers and great and the academic program provides several different options for specialization. They provide a great number of technology resources to students, however the campus is not safe. Every week there are serious police incidents.

NJIT has become a very renown school, both academically and job competitiveness. NJIT graduates are held to higher standards then other engineering graduates because of the rigorous curriculum that is given to them. I am proud to say I have earned my degree from NJIT. The cons of this school however is that the graduate program is very expensive and lacks support from the financial aid department and state aid.
