I graduated recently from National University in San Diego, California. In the beginning, I was excited to take advantage of their one course a month online schedule because it worked so well with my work schedule I have now completed all of these course required for my degree and have received it; however, I do not have ANY skills needed to obtain a job anywhere in San Diego. The requirements of local employers were either never mentioned in classes or were covered for 1 week. This is not enough... Read More

Overall a decent school, but it has its faults. The professors are inconsistent, some barely know the subject they are teaching, while others are passionate and helpful. If you are young and want a traditional university experience, stay away. If you want to get a decent education and are willing to put forth the effort, I would recommend National. Overall it is a mediocre school.

I returned to school after many years of being out of it, a.k.a aerospace and electronic manufacturing companies departed Southern California. I chose National University because it is WASC accredited and because of satellite campus and online convenience. I really enjoyed 90% of my instructors. They were engaged in our efforts, answered live and emailed questions efficiently, and were very thorough in explaining the material. Maybe there were a couple of classes that did not interest me. Good school, I learned a lot. It is easy to pass classes, but very difficult to get A's. You can learn a fair amount if you apply yourself

I was a little intimidated with the 4 week course schedule but when you add up the actual in class time it equals about the same as a 16 week course.... Read More
professors also teach at other colleges in the area (San Diego) such as ; San Diego State University, University of California –San Diego, or University of San Diego. So you get a quality education at lower price and spend less time obtaining the same class credit.
The drawback is that fact the class is only 4 weeks, research projects normally suck up 1 or 2 weekends and the other 2 weekends you are in class one of the days. Again I am attending “Big Boy” school so the sacrifice is there.
Would I do it again –Yes, Would I recommend the school –Yes, is the school for everyone-No we all learn at different paces, so some folks may not like the pace. However, I only had one class that was overwhelming (trigonometry) other than that it has been a piece of cake.
My major is ITM and my GPA is 3.563
