I cannot in good faith recommend Morehead State to anybody looking for anything further than general education classes. The most blatant complaint that I always get caught up in is the faculty in the offices (not instructors for the most part) operate under distain for their jobs. Asking someone in administration at MSU to do their basic job duties is like asking for handouts or pulling teeth. Out of approximately 25 or more different instructors, I probably had 2-3 that I could actually recommend... Read More

I graduated from MSU and was well prepared to teaching in tge classroom. The full semester student teaching supervisor was non judgemental and truly helped with my skills and confidence. My guidance counselor pointed me to MSU and a school with a great reputation for producing teachers. I was accepted at several Division I schools including Ohio State. I Chose morehead State University because of the individualized instruction, value and good reputation.

MSU is one of a kind! Even though I attended online, the campus is in a hidden, magical place in eastern Kentucky. The charming atmosphere of a small town draws in people from all over including the world-renowned faculty within a range of studies. I personally attended for educational degrees, but I am a proponent of the many degress programs and specialties such as the music program and the nursing program.

My 2014-2018 program at Morehead State was inconsistent, depending on the instructor. All Instructors in the History department are excellent. Some of my education instructors were excellent, and others saw students as numbers, with little regard to their personal obstacles or mental well-being. The program prepared me for my field in some regards and didn't in others. Overall, it was very inconsistent.

Morehead State University is a growing university, although it still has good student to teacher ratios. As always, when choosing a University, put in the time and research to determine what is best for you.

Morehead State University's graduate school is one of the best in my opinion. With a very rigorous and yet helpful approach to preparing graduate students they help us to succeed in our careers. The course work is broken down into specific classes used to address particular aspects o f the career. There is an exit exam before you graduate ensuring that all necessary skills have been learned. I high recommend MSU graduate school!

While attending Morehead State University I feel that my life was changed for the better. Through my classwork and professors I was able to grow both as a student and as an individual. While at Morehead State University I focused on special education and community supports, after graduating in may 2015 I was able to easily transition into a career in my field of study and am currently taking classes online to obtain a Masters degree. Overall my experience while at Morehead State University was outstanding... Read More

Morehead offered me everything I needed at the time. I was able to complete my licensing in a timely manner. It worked well as I have a family with seven children. The online convenience was what I needed for my young, growing family. I would recommend the program to others.

This school was wonderful. Despite paperwork issues every year, the instructors were great! The financial aid office however was never helpful and often messed up my billing. If I was not being charged extra I was losing my payments. The financial aid office needs to organize and review there system.

The specific classes are great as are the professors for online classes. The counseling and anything admin is a nightmare. No one responds unless you hound them. Other than that I am happy with the knowledge the professors impart and the workload.

Morehead State is a beautiful college which provided me an affordable college experience and a degree. The teachers were all tough but fair and always offered their personal work experiences as guiding tools. There were several activities offered in student life and the campus worked hard to gain the opinions of things to improve.

I love the accessibility of the program - my entire degree is online! I can still work full-time and get my degree to further my career, which is super convenient. I also love that tuition is the exact same for all graduate students, whether in-state or out-of-state.

The faculty are very accessible, and personally interested in student's success. The career connections available for graduates are second to none. Unfortunately some of the faculties experience is lacking. The facilities and equipment are fairly outdated.

The graduate program is a great program! I really enjoy being able to take online classes since I also have to work full time. The only thing I would change is if they would offer more of their program requirements completely online in addition to on campus or hybrid.

Morehead State University's is located in the middle of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Campus is simply gorgeous. The lawn is always neatly manicured and the Appalachian foothills provide a picturesque backdrop to daily student life. If you enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing then Morehead would compliment your interests. The university has private hiking trails that connect with national and state trail systems; a private lake know as Eagle Lake were students can... Read More

I love that the program has a diverse population. There are students across the nation and even the world that I am able to network with. The graduate work is comprehensive and tough at times, but it is manageable. Most of the instructors have been easy to contact and provide feedback.

It was ok. The programs are very easy and the faculty is very helpful and motivating to get you to your desired goal. The social scene is lacking. But i would do it over again for the education i came away with.
