This is one of the most unorganized schools I've ever attended. The administrative staff is unresponsive, rude, and unhelpful when it comes to working with students. The clinical registration process is one of the most stressful days of the semester. The process is unfair and the site continuously crashes, leading many students unable to register for locations within the vicinity of where they live. On top of that, the staff is dismissive of any errors within the system and leaves students feeling... Read More

If given the chance to go back and do it all over again, I would stay far, far away from Mercy. I’m a current Weekend Accelerated BSN student, 4.0 student with less than a year left to go.
Pros:
- Accelerated BSN program is one of, if not, the cheapest in the area.
-They accept a large cohort of students & have very lax admission standards.
Cons:
- They DO NOT care about you. You are a walking dollar sign to the school, they care about the money - not the students.
- Class scheduling is a MESS! They’ll... Read More
My advice? Run! But if you’re already in, just remember the only way out, is through - you can do this!

Their nursing program is the worst especially their clinical placement team, they lack humanity... how ironic for nursing they lack humanity, they place you 70+ miles away from your home and think it's ok. You are not suppose to say anything like students aren't paying their money. I didn't know they were doing us favors or doing anything for free. Stay away from this school

To me Mercy college was the worst experience, it made me never want to come back to NYC. The tuition cost is definitely not worth it. The food quality was bad and poorly prepared, also found hairs in my food frequently. The workers at the canteen tried mostly to make me and every one else to overpay, and deny including certain things that were supposed to be included in your meal, according to the meal plan. The education level.. mostly I learned by my own initiative, not from the professors and homework.... Read More

Worst college ever. Do not attend. They don’t care about you or what you’re going through. The staff is young and doesn’t know how to do tjere job. Do not recommend. The only good part is the location and being in nyc. I am transferring schools now before it’s too late.

Nursing administrators are not there to support students very disrespectful and condescending, pact counselors very unorganized they are unable to provide students with valuable information's. Institution states its a non profit institution, it doesn't appears that way. Would not recommend their accelerated nursing program.

Mercy College has great counselors that guide you through the whole process. They check in on you often to make sure you are on the right track for the degree selected. I like the small class rooms because it allows more 1 on 1 time with the professors.

Absolutely horrible!!!! I have 2 weeks trying to register for courses and it's been insane. Very poor attention, everyone is leading students from one thing to the other and I'm in graduate school now. I've been in Mercy for a while and the attention is poor.. I just stood because of being comfortable already. As an undergraduate, they messed up my credits and told me one thing or the other prior to me graduating. So unprofessional!! No one knows anything because they keep switching staffs because... Read More

I have attended Mercy College and received my B.S. in Behavioral Sciences. I had such a pleasant experience. Most of my classes were taken online, as I did not live nearby. The professors were so knowledgeable and eager to share their insight and experiences. I definitely recommend Mercy College!

As being a previous student I recommend this college to absolutely NO ONE. They are the most unorganized administration you would ever deal with. You deal with a different person each time you try to communicate with them. Each person says something different and doesn't follow through with what they are supposed to help you with when it comes to sending paperwork or finances. They claim they are there to help you, but are useless & mess everything up and blame it on the student. Most the time your... Read More

I was very happy with my education at Mercy College. Working full time I was pleased that the degree I was interested in was available online. I also did enjoy the on campus classes that were required. I would say I had a very good experience with the professors and other students.

The school counseling program at Mercy college has well prepared me to enter the counseling field post-graduation. When I was applying to Mercy I was looking for a school that was close to my house as well having great academic standing. Upon my first day at Mercy I was nervous and intimated because graduate courses are more rigorous than undergraduate. The professes are Mercy are challenging and are willing to offer any insight they have within the counseling world. What is very helpful is that... Read More

As we look forward to the future we often are afraid of the unknown. One of the best way to not be afraid is to be prepared, I do believe Mercy College is the kind of environment where you are tested in classroom as if you were in the real world. With the real world pressure the students becomes better than when they started their education program.

Mercy College is a challenging program that has various modes of instruction available. For me it is great because I live in Miami, but I can still benefit from the instruction given in New York. The online programs are rigorous and really get you to think. While there is an astronomical amount of reading, it is feasible with a student who is meticulous with scheduling.

Professors are mostly people with UN and NGO experience that helps us push ourselves to understand today's world issues. Also it is required to participate Model UN to get hands on experience. I just wish that the program would help students get into internships or jobs that relate to our major.

Mercy College's Physician Assistant Program's staff are amazing! From applying, to interviewing, to starting the program the staff have always been there with any and all types of help. I am beyond surprised with how helpful their financial services office has been through out the whole process. Mercy College is great for those looking for a private institution at an inexpensive cost (comparatively) to other private institutions. I had some pretty great professors like Prof. L, Prof. M, and Prof. R. They made my time at Mercy College much more positive and enjoyable. They made classes interactive, entertaining, and informative which made the experience much more enjoyable overall. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of positive things to say about many other professors at this school. They... Read More
