extremely disappointing first year. the level of disorganization is deplorable and is consistently bad across the board. everything is done last minute and faculty does not actually do their job. i am so disappointed about the money i am spending for such a subpar and unprofessional program. there is terrible communication with the field office and administration as no one is consistent. i have never experienced this level of chaos and lack of support in an academic environment before. some professors... Degree: Communications (Public Relations)

Marywood accurately prepared me for a job in the Communications field. Their hands-on activities and clubs, such as the on-campus radio and news station that are primarily student-run, really get you ready for what to expect in the field. I also learned a great deal in my courses on advertising writing, editing, and working on teams. It was very informative!

Degree: Counseling

I enjoyed my time at Marywood. It was smaller than I would have liked, and difficult to get into extracurriculars because of that. But it was accredited and has served me well in my field. I also valued my relationships with my professors. I maintained some of those relationships, and they are now my colleagues.

Marywood is a great small college. There are many sports and activities to stay involved. Its a school where you are not just a number. Everyone knows each other and the sense of community is welcoming. its super easy to make friends who come from all over too.

This MSW program has gone so downhill over the years. Started before pandemic and it has been issue after issue after issue since beginning in 2019. From instructors to administrators to full time faculty in this MSW program. Admitted me in 2019 and immediately closed my satellite campus 2 months after beginning. The school did not offer any compromises or support. If you are not looking at main campus, do not attend this program or school for any graduate degree. Satellite students are not integrated... Degree: Clinical Psychology

If you went to a rigorous undergraduate university, you may feel unchallenged in the PsyD program, with mostly multiple choice exams, and little narrative feedback. Busy work at times. Massive turnover, and professors with tenure are often lazy and prejudicial. The department chair has changed so many times in the past 5 years I cant even keep count. It lacks course offerings that prepare you for the most common clinical issues you will face (drug and alcohol), and the curriculum is solely centered... Read More

Undergraduate studies here were pretty solid but graduate was a joke. I would not recommend for anything above a bachelor's degree.

Degree: Art & Design

The Masters MFA in Illustration program at Marywood University provides excellent opportunities to tour different cities in the US where students meet publishers, designers, illustrators, Creative/Artistic Directors, and their teams. This inside information is crucial to furthering our careers and individual work and many connections have been developed through these experiences. Additionally, the assignments completed in-between study tours and on-campus classes are challenging to both the design-... Read More

Degree: MBA in International Business

I first graduated from Marywood University in 2011 with my BA in Political Science/Law. After starting graduate school at a different institution, I didn't feel at home and soon returned to my alma mater to complete my MBA. Marywood is a place that welcomes you with open arms! The small class sizes allow for 1-on-1 attention that is crucial in a higher education atmosphere. At Marywood, you're never just a number. Faculty get to know you by name, so you're able to develop an excellent rapport with... Read More

While the college was beautiful, there was not a great internship program or job placement program which would have helped. Great professor student ratios

Degree: Social Work

I love Marywood. They truly have bent over backwards to help me to successfully complete my Masters, as well as my Bachelor's in 2012. I've had every obstacle imaginable being a non-traditional student. FT mother of 3 in her 30's. Daycare, unplanned 3rd pregnancy, lost of income and transportation, and reached limits on loan aids. Every department in that school was so easy to talk to and accomadating that it saddens me now that I am finished. Graduate school was so very difficult for me. I didn't... Read More

The graduate program is not as challenging as my undergraduate program - or perhaps I was just very well prepared. I feel as though I am getting and adequate education. However, the school is not accommodating to full time working professionals, although they advertise that they do accommodate such schedules. I do like the size of the campus and the location, as it is close to home. However, given what I know now about the program, I am not sure I would have made the same academic decisions.

Degree: Higher Education

The higher education program at Marywood includes intelligent faculty who desire only the best outcome for their students. One thing that I would change, however, are the number of courses that are offered. With courses being offered sparingly and some offered only every other semester, it makes it somewhat difficult to plan your graduation. However, I enjoyed my time at the college immensely and would suggest anyone to attend. The staff are great and each of them use their own unique teaching methods... Read More

Pros: At Marywood University I got one of the best life experiences. It's strong academic focus, excellent staff and faculty members, rich and diverse atmosphere are few of many good qualities I have experienced. The program really thoroughly helped me sharpen my research and analytical skills. Cons: Really, there are not many cons that come to my mind. I would like to have more resources to connect international students with practical trainings related to their fields.
